I have an idea that I hope works. This idea is that there will be a pedistal, onwich a glowing orb will float. In the background there will be a palace with a big dome and a lot of different kinds of archetecture. The picture will be divided down the middle. One half shows life as it was before a great battle. The other side will show the battle, and its aftermath.

Hopefully Ill get some new concepts up in the next few days

Ive been doing a lot of thinking, and very little work... But during my thought process, I decided Id rather do a different idea. Im still thinking of doing the huge grand palace as the main part of the picture, but Im thinking of making more of group of images telling a story. Im really keen on the idea of combining many images into one scene.

Right now I really need to start working on the palace, this will have to be my most detailed item, being the largest and the main focal point. Ive searched around the web looking at palaces, and Ive found that the palace on Naboo, in Starwars I is the most like what I am going for!

Well Wish me luck, Im really going to need it.... So much to plan, and even more to do....

I work SOOOOO slow.... Im really not cut out for this kind of challange, but Im trying it anyway.

This is the start of whats going to be a huge palace, were in the scene this will be I am still dibating over, but Im sure I want a grand palace. Nothing marks a wealthy econamy better then splender!

Right now its really more of a outline. A huge amount of detail will be added later. Anything that you could suggest be included in the palace as it evolves would help a lot.

Thanks for any suggestions. Now off to drag myself to work on it more...

Hey, don't worry...

there is really not too much time (for me also) but there is still a chance to make it. I mean it.
But I would suggest that you first create a sketch of a whole composition.
Even more: preplanning (lat's call it so) makes you work tremedously faster.
Even one year ago I did not appreciate such a factor. How was i wrong...
There is better to figure out whole concept (actualy a little story ), think about a style,
than you can deside what are foregroun/backgroun elements of your future composition (it showws how detailed they will be). Start with more detailed/important objects and pass to other parts.
That's how you can rule your time: make it as simple as possible, if time remains - refine your work!
If you have desided, as I see, to pay more attention to the architecture, the stuyle is even more important. I see you have chosen some kind of roman style. So try to find out more in the books of history of art/arch.
Believe me, there is possible to find unimmaginable compositions
Don't give up - taht's your main enemy, and not the time...
Good work!!

Hi there and welcome.

I agree with deryk. Dont worry about late start or not even finishing. Do what I'm doing. Enjoy it as a learning experience if nothing else.

Hi nice modeling and concept. Only one advice, you are using a semisphere, and the colums are square based, I think that this doesn't match. Try circle based colums and it will look better.

Hope this helps.
