Anarobin, was that boned animation or ProPak Plugin?
If it was propak, I'd like to know how you got the hair to attatch to a Poser figure...

Thats the new POSER-5's buit in dynamic hair system.
as a propac owner i am eligble for a $129 upgrade price. to poser5
Can you say "AKi Ross"
No word on when or even if P5 will plug into anything else, however. With all the new stuff in it I doubt it will. It was a bit of a dissapointment that their previously announced SubDivs with Colision Detection is in fact rendertime subdiv only (glorified smoothing) and doesn't work with CD at all.
The render engine's is supposed to be raytrace, however, Renderman complient, a plus. No word on any upgrading to the joint system, which poser desperately needs...

Shave can do that. I'll try to come up with an example over the weekend. Seems to me it would be worth upgrading Poser anyway, just for the cloth simulation and other goodies, let alone the hair.
It'll be interesting to see how they integrate P5's hair feature into the Cinema (and other apps). It looks like a post-effect, so they would either have to write a bridge plugin a la Shave or else convert the hair to polys. If it's the latter that would certainly make it less desirable than Shave.

I'll spend the $129 just for the cloth simulation stuff
unfortunately the hair is polygon strand based
So except for the better" styling" tools it not really much better than
Hair Dept in my opinon as far as animation..
and they say that updated hosting plugins for C4DXL ,LW,MAX are in the works
but im sure it will be later than sooner:shrug:
really!
Currently, a figure's completely not ediable in Cinema with the plugin, which is okay, frankly. The animation controls in Poser are simply better than anything else.
It'll be nice if they can get everything in P5 to work in Cinema..
