Welcome to the cgtalk sketch group.
We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.
These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* 640 x 480 / 480 x 640 OR 800 x 600 /600 x 800
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
* Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.
Good luck
-Roberto

I'm not satisfied with that one, but oh well. Any suggestions, comments, etc. are welcome! I need some citiques to help me improve. :D

Took longer than expected because I kept messing around with her face trying to get it right. Still not all that happy with it overall, but figured I'd just go ahead and post it. About 2 hrs PS with Wacom.

A few real nice ones today. You know who you are... no not you... no you sit down too. No.. no, awww shut up.
Lowered the resolution of the scan today for the efficiency of the site. i feel it sort of shows, but adds to the over-all effect of grundge.

Wow, some really great ones today.
Robin- funny! great idea!
Friday- from your posts that I have seen, you have a knack for reflected/radiant light! Great work, love the painterly style.
AsurA- lighting is always tricky to master, but you are definitely getting it! The composition is well done- the focus moves from the moon/skull, down the rail of the boat to the other skeletons, then up the mast and back over to the moon. Keeps your eye moving around- good work!
Rasdasa- As always, your sketch style is top notch!
Mahir- nice clean sketch. great composition with the worms eye view.
Keep on sketchin!
