Ok so ive been working on this guy for a couple of days, heres what i got:

poly model (3006 polys)
http://www.pheonix3.net/wire1.jpg

subD model (no details added)
http://www.pheonix3.net/hires1.jpg

Im gonna use it as a generic male character for the animations i want to do. I started him out using the method of modeling i tought was the most intuitive for me (make an all quads base mesh and then add the details on a hierarchical subD) but then i stumbled upon this thread http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=108412. After reading about the technic that Stahlberg uses for his models i started aplying it to mine (thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge). Now ive got this very low poly base mesh(3000 polys) to which i dont even have to add any detail when i convert it to subD. On top of that ill be able to animate it in real time. Anyway let me know if ive missed anything (the mapping will be done at a later time) before i start my female character.

thanks
