Hi! I have got a problem with the std brush.
I imported my max 6 model into zbrush (without meshsmooth) divided it 4 times and began to use the std brush to add dots on the surface. Now whenever i get to the neck or back area the dots got streched and they are no more dots. Heres a pic of what i am talking about:

May be its because in these areas are fewer polys and they are a bit rotated

Maybe is it an unequal UV map in this area...You need them to be as square as possible to get the most out of Z.

If 2d painting isn't planned, try applying the AUV tiles.

thx for replying.

I didn't apply any uvw coordinates before i exported the mesh.
Anyway, i will do a displacement map but i first wanted to do a test run with zbrush thats why i did not apply uvw's.

I think what i guessed first was right :)
I divided the polys in the neck and back area and zbrushed it again. Here's the result:

Lets assume i
1) created my model in max
2) did my uvw layout
3) exported my model to zbrush
4) painted my displacement map

now, back in max. I assing the dis. map to my model and want to create my diffuse map.
Can i use the uvw's i created in step 2 ?
or do i have to make a new uvw layout (because displacement actually deforms my object, right?)
I don't want to create my diffuse map in zbrush but in photoshop.
So please tell me what to do ;)
