Title: Talaros
Name: Frederic St-arnaud
Country: Canada
Software: Photoshop

I wanted to do something with a city. Something with a lot of details and a lot of space.
I've started this image with a small photo found on the net. I re-created some parts of the city. I did a longer river, different buildings in a sunset atmosphere. I used XSI for the main huge building and few roads.

Here is my 3D work:

the large building blends in very nicely (lighting, angle). nice details too. but i think you need to post a 'before and after' for people to really appreciate this one.

Fantastic! i like it very much, (and usualy i don't like rendered buildings, autos or Planes)

• I'd love to see the wire (not because i don't belive you :), but i want to see what is and what is not 3D)

• But to be truth, i really think you should pay a little more atention to the river, Looks like a hightway!

This is sunch a beatutifull picture. Too bad it does not exsist in a highter resolution image.

Nice one... Any chance of seeing the original photograph and the wire?

I hope i can get some time in the future to experiment with combining photo's and 3d elements.

Yeah, I´ve seen this image before here.. It looked good, but had some comments to improve it even more. Now for me looks perfect, integration is achieved 99.9999999%.

But we want to see original photos, wires. What´s real and what´s not. Please...

this forum is about sharing and co opration betwen the members not a puplic gallery when you expect some waows and claping It's about both actually. You know why some actors like the theater better than film? The applause. It's much more tiring to work without applause and direct feedback from your audience, than with it. You know why some musicians keep touring even though they're about to drop dead from fatigue? The applause. It's like an electrical current, pure positive energy. Recognition and encouragement; we all need it to keep going. I know I do. Is that bad? Not if it's honest, and mixed with suggestions for improvement.

I'm not sure what the problem is here, actually; what do you suspect him of? Or do you just want to find out how he did it? Doesn't seem like a big mystery to me, but if he doesn't want to show us, fine, that's his right, and we should respect that and keep being polite to each other.

gotta agree with Stahlberg, 100%. It's up to the author to share how he did it or not. I think this is a very good work and would like to see wires and the original photo too, but that's his call.

keep it up!

Great, outstanding image! But I have to agree with the others... please show us some wires!! It would be really nice to see how much of it is 3D and how much was originally a photo. It's just that it is so perfect that I can't tell the difference ;)

Fred - did you know that you can update your image by simply clicking on "Edit Post" on the first image? That way, you could have updated the image without posting it in the gallery again and having two of the same.

I've merged the threads together. Sorry if it looks confusing, but it's better than having two of the same image in the gallery.

I'm not sure what the problem is here, actually.

dear stahlberg thanks 4 every thing

this thread was actualy 2 thread s by this artist one that was posted along time ago with his promiss to give us the b4 an after -thank him 4 that-
and the other thread was new -may be 2day or some thin- with the same old final image with nothing and i meaan nothing else but the same old post
may be i was a little over reacted about that-and am sory for that- but i was treing to catch what is the need of the new post specialy with out what he was promiss thats why i was angry and i said what you Quoted
thats all..
and after reading what Leonard said to him i think its all clear now
any way am sorry if i cause any proplem -never ment to-
thanks

I just can't believe how much of the image was painted in. That's alot of work. The revealing of the original pic makes me really appreciate the end result a whole lot more! It looks nothing like it used to!

One small crit, though: the horizon on the upper left is visibly cloned. A small detail though.
