Battle taking place in space, in the thinnest bit of athmosphere.
Remains of battleship coming down on the city, the news flash tells 60 min old news. (battleship crippled and now on drift)
People running away from the place of impact, huge blastwave aproaching.
Two people on a winged JetBike giving full throttle. The guy on the back looking at the Hell thats coming after them.
Heh, didnt know an entry was imediately submitted as a thread, hence the Telegram style :)

I have already posted some Work in progress in the gallery forum at the Relic boards.

Wow, nice flying-thing. It looks very original and believable. The pilot is gonna hurt his behind though :-) Anyway, I really like it. I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to see on the other sketch. I see a window and a spaceship in it, and then a guy in the front. It's a bit unclear. Anyway ... nice model.
Keep up the good work.

Nice start!
The only thing is that the bike remind me a sewer pipes.

Heh, sorry for my bad drawing skills :P
but the sketch shows a TV screen that is telling the latest news, on the screen you will see a heavily damaged Battleship, drifting uncontrolable.
Now this News ofcourse has some delay, im not to sure if it is realistic to have a massive delay of 60 minutes for news of such importance, but anyways, at the moment this news is visible on the screens in city, the ship is already touching ground, creating an enormous blastwave, chasing the bikers, and overwhelming thousands of inhabitants.
Now in this sketch you only see a reflection of the ship hitting the city in the 2e guy his glasses, im not sure if i will keep it this way, it might be nice to have those bikers viewed from their fronts, so you see the shockwave "realtime" :)
Oh and that bike is far from finished btw :) it should get a seat, brakes throttle, more cables, etc.
In a short way, it will get a lot more detail since it will be close the camera.

it would be something like Independance day eyh? people running from those gigantic lasers :P
i'd say this is one of the most awsome things i've seen in this contest yet!

This emergency droid pulls out... well in case of an emergency :P
The thing cant do much realy, only observe, and warn city inhabitants with its rotary light and alarm noise. (yet to be modeled, but its good to post Wips... right? :) )
I have in mind this action packed scene where the bike collides with such a droid (vaporizing the droid, but leaving the bike half intact).

A slight update on the bike,
A temporary tank cover..
Now i have had a hard time creating that cover, im very new to NURBS moddeling and i have no idea if it is the right technique to use for such things,
But anyways, i couldnt get those circle cuttouts in the cover without performing a boolean on the, to editable poly converted, NURBS surface.
Is there a way to add these holes with Nurbs moddeling?
Thx for all the replies so far! :D

Thx in advance mayashu :)
And a slight update on the droid, most of the time spend on trying to figure out how to make those hydraulic cylinders follow the movement of the "arms" ..
The only way i found to do it was by creating 2 target lights (or target camera's )facing each other for each cylinder. Now this works realy crappy,
and im sure there is a much easier/better way to do it, my only question is how? :)

all those spacewarps etc, will come in very handy to create damage effects and landscapes!
