Here is my first sketch. This is a hall of tribute. The surrounding space will contain relics from the past. Most have been left behind, but some have been placed for observation.
The surrounding vessels are just ideas, with more to come (of debris) soon. I\'d love to hear comments of you\'ve got em\' Thanks fellas

Here is a sketch. This is the pirate ship that will be scouring the wreckage (which arguably could have been their fault) It will show the pirates taking from the ruins of a great war. I like the 'original pirate ship' look. Even though it's not original to have pirates, I think it would be to portray them in space like this.Soon to follow will be a sketch of the pirates themselves. Then it's off to modeling. Looking for comments of any sort if you've got em'. Thanks guys

I think the pirate ship is a good idea but maybe make the sail a giant radio dish. Barbary pirates used a zebek (dow) ship that had oars and a lateen sail (trianglular) That shape of sail would look best as a parabolic dish.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Stoat: I agree with you there. I mean, who uses a real sail in space.. :) Yeah, I was think something that looked like a sail, but was some useful item to the ship. A dish is a great idea.
Thanks again for the interest

You could take this concept a long way. I'd dig out all the pirate material you can and form a vision of their distant galaxy counterparts. I'd say he looks too bare at the moment, pirates love their trophies. You've caught a strong menacing look. Looking forward to seeing this develop. All the best.

Hello MailboxHead,
In the 80s there was a japanese anime called "Captain Harlock"; I was a child and that was really my hero for years...until I decided that having as an hero a 80s japanese cartoon character didn't help me at all with girls....so I chose to take Goku of Dragonball as my personal hero....anyway...take a look at that, do a little research by a search engine....it was really amazing, at that time.
Bye. Have a nice work.
