nice design for the armour. Just curious though, are the shoulder pads soft, if not how is he going to move his arms. Great sculpture btw, always wanted to pick sculpting up.

Dom, you make a very good point, lol. Funny thing is I havent even noticed that problem. A simple over look, even on the concept. I will just have to scale them some down a little to clear the shoulder area better. Thanks for the good eye and the comments

Woow Woow, a battle of the universe? :bounce: That sounds deadly promissing.
I like yor armour. This armour, really is a armour. Regarding the shoulder area, Dom was right. But take care, the shoulder plates gives your armour a strong and massive look. Maybe just a little narrow plates? The same problem to the hip. Take care when mirroring the mesh (the median line on the armour.
The (hellish?) creature Concept Sketch is awesome. Great modeling skills!!!
I'll be looking forward to your work Dustin, especially to see the entire concept scene.
Keep it up! :applause:

this character is similar in some ways to my sketches.. very nice.. though the head seems detached in this.. is it projected onto a screen in the helmet? It gives me the feeling like he has no neck in between the head and body...

thanks guys, hopefully I can make this project entertaining for all. and as for the head, that one was just placed in there for now for placement, I have to model the real head for it and lower it down more into the suit so it doesnt look so floaty. But I think it will actually be a real human inside and no projection.

Ddavis,
This is a really great looking suit model . Very imaginative, one thing with the shoulders, is not the guy in the suit going to have vision problems looking left and right. Super cool model.

Heres the rest of one of the creatures that will be involved in the war. Just a rough sketch so far.

thanks mmoir for the comments, as for as the suit, yeh it is limiting the view of the character, but its the price he has to pay for that type of armor I guess. I should have some updates soon on the modell and the fixes, just trying to squeeze out some free time.

another little update on this character. I just need to add some knee pads and some more work on the leg area then make the head that will be inside. Then I will be starting on the creatures

With a suit like this I guess he is firing some very strange weapon.
What is it?
