Well, some information 'bout my project that come into my mind, as i read the title of the newest challenge...

It'll take place in a universe, where human-colonization is on its beginning and a new colony is on the plan; the key-scene of that event will be a drop-down of landing ship in front of a new planet; what'll be on the surface? any kind of dangerous animals, some kind of intelligence,...noone knows....just the urge for the unknown...

the style of the ships will be very rough; no marvel of aerodynamic style, tubes and cables everywhere

i'll use 3ds MAX 6 and photoshop for that scene...as i said first sketches thru the weekend

cheers:)

Sounds great. I look forward to checking in this weekend and seeing what you've come up with. I don't use Max at the moment, but I will be taking a class that uses it in the future. I think that's one of the neater things about these challenges is seeing what can be done in the different 3D applications.

the look is realistically dated, which will be something that stands out by looks of this competition so far.
