hi all, is there any options or way to export from XSI to 3DS, PNG, DXF and Shockwave ?? I really need to be able to export as 3DS or maybe import into another free program to convert the file to 3DS ?

Export your model as OBJ. Plenty of other 3D programs will be able to read that.

well I have to export to Swift 3D 4 and it only let's you import 3DS files. Anyway you can do this ? maybe convert obj to 3ds somehow ??

you could use wings3d .. it imports .obj and exports .3ds ...

If it's only geometry you need to export ( ie no animation data etc ) Milkshape3d might well work. Supports loads of file formats including .obj, .dxf and .3ds

Edit: Chrischan, good call, can't believe I forgot Wings could do that, especially considering I have it open right now..:thumbsup:

wings is free, easy to download and exports .3ds
