View Full Version : Rendered avi is too dark
number9 10-21-2004, 08:11 AM When I render out a composited avi from combustion. It looks much darker than the composition looked in my workspace. I'm working with quite a dark scene so I really don't want to loose the detail in dark areas. Anyone has an idea of why it gets darker?
I render it out as uncompressed DV Movie Avi, but I've also tried some other formats, just too se if there is a difference.

Try changing your overlay settings as they probably differ from your desktop.

Sorry, but I don't really know what you're talking about. I suppose you're not referring to the view-modes?
Movies you watch on the computer uses video overlay which among other things speeds up the video rendering process and prevents you from taking screenshots of movies. Combustion doesn't use video overlay so what you see there might not be what you get when watching a rendered video. You can tweak the contrast, brightness and color of the video overlay separately from your desktop and you'll find these settings in the properties of your graphics card.
