Hi all,

I was just wondering. As i understand it character studio comes standard with MAX 5 now, and from what i understand it's a cool plug-in.

What i'm trying to understand is, is it better to rig a character with CS or by bones?

which is faster? and is it better to know both or know one really well?

Does max 5 come with tuts for CS?

Any other feedback is welcome to enlighten me, thank you all.

later.

First, cs don't comes with max5. how yes, it is on the cd, like for max4, but you still need to pay to have it working.

second, you haven't to do anything to rig characters with cs, just scale some bones of the default skeleton. Then it is easiest.
Rigging with ik/bones can be a pain, sure a long and precise work, but then, it is really more powerfull than cs, as you can put bones/controls exactly where you need it.

I thinks others will point you on good tuts for char rigging.

Cheers
