Hi,

l was scouting through the 3D stuff here on CG, and l came across this:

Now l was wondering is this possible to recreate in LW?, l understand getting the cel shaded thing is hard to pin down. However, how has he done it?, splines?....

I don't see why not. The shading isn't really tricky or anything, it's all in the model. I couldnt guarantee youd be able to get as good ink lines though, not without some extra work.

If something can be done in one package, odds are it can be done in any of them. You may use different methods, but a good artist can get what he wants out of his weapon of choice.

Yes (http://www.celshader.com/gallery/besm/). Model something like this (http://www.celshader.com/images/bboards/besm-eyes-geometry.jpg).

So Splines all the way then.

So Splines all the way then.
Well, in the end I had a polygonal subpatch model. I used splines to model a subpatch cage, then I added details with bevels, smooth shifting and Edge tools. Splines made it easier to trace the hand-drawn model sheet.
