you will need to use something like DiskCopy to convert the .dmg file to a DVD/CD-R master image. Once you have done that you can use a program such as Nero to burn it to disk (and then non-mac computers will be able to read it).

good advice. I haven't been to filext in a while but that dmg2iso looks like it would be a very simple solution (and free!). Once you have converted it to ISO you can burn it like you would any ISO file

diskcopy is a program on mac.
I guess I didn't ask before but do you have access to a mac? If so you can convert it to ISO9660 on the mac. once you have done that the windows box will be able to burn it. use this command in your mac terminal:

hdiutil convert /path/filename.dmg -format UDTO -o /path/savefile.iso

However, if you do not have mac access this will be a little more difficult and the only realistic solution would be to use the dmg2iso utility or something similar. I have used it before and didn't have any trouble. I think that your problem is that you were trying to use the pearl version. Do this:

right-click on "win32binary" > Save targe as

save the file in a location that you can access easily from a command prompt

open a command prompt
navigate to the directory containing the dmg2iso.exe file
type: dmg2iso <filename.dmg> <filename.iso>
for example if dmg2iso.exe was saved in c:\converter and the dmg file was in c:\converter\dmg and you wanted to output to go to c:\converter\iso you would do this:

c:\>cd\converter
c:\converter>dmg2iso .\dmg\test.dmg .\iso\convertedTest.iso

BAM! you got your self a burnable iso

good luck.

here you go. Just unzip in to the directory that you want to use it in.
