pluMmet: Ah.. a good question indeed. The orbital ring was one of the last hiding places
for a very secretive space fairing people. Built millenia ago by their ancestors, they now have to leave due the fact they are being hunted and wiped out by another more malevolent race.
Charges have been set and now they watch as they destroy their home and any last real trace of their heritage, to flee to ever more distant corners of the galaxy.

ago-stino: 5 hours! I envy you it would be nice to have such time on my hands, and yes I will continue.

skeb: I may be wrong but i believe Halo is not the only or original creator of the idea of a ring world.

i dont know if ther the only 1s but the ring on halo is the most popular 1...
