Hi my Name is Manuel Dreesmann i am a 18 years old pupil. I live in Germany and work with Maya for 4 Months. So it is clearly that my Intention is not to win, but to learn.
2 Races/aliances fights against each other. The defender are people who live in big orbital stations which simulate a natural world inside. Their Spacestation have clear forms and are strong buildings to hold the enemies away.
The other race (the attackers) have spaceships in enourmos dimensions. Their ships look old and very dangerous.
P.s.: sry for the rigirious start, but i had to test the system of upload pictures.
And sry for my very bad english, i had bad teachers 8)

The fighter and spacestation are good solid designs.
The second spaceship is less good. The overall shape is fine, but IMHO the strange repeated shape on the side and the multiple rectangular planes trailing out of the bottom look too "random" as if you were just adding them for the sake of complexity rather than having them serve a reasonable purpose as part of the essential engineering design of a working spaceship.
If you could change these into recognisable stabilising wings, armour plates, or launch bays etc the spaceship as a whole would be more believable.

Its lookin pretty good so far, but the mothership looks a little confusing though. It could just be just because of the lighting though.

the last 2 pictures are only a test. I need them and more ships to produce an concept of the whole scene. After this I will modell them real with more details....
I hope my Pc will allow this :D

If you want 1000's of ships you might want to try rendering them out separately and then replacing the ships with alpha mapped quads with the texture being the rendered images. That way you get a spaceship per quad and your computer should be able to handle millions of them. Then only perhaps the closest 20 ships need to be real 3D models.

Ok i think i have to explain :D
there will be a big conflict in the background. U will see laser shots and a lot of space ships.
In the front of the szene are only 2 ships. The ship u see is a patrouille ship in the canyon. I will add an attacker who come from the right side. It will look like ur eyes are under his wings.
I hope my english allowed me to explain clear what i want :D
