Hey, Looks good i think u should continue with this story....it would be nice to see it in color....love the skecht though. One critique...i would be nice to make the man on the lower right bigger. It seems like he is kinda important to the story...so in my opinion u should make him larger or bigger to the scale of the picture...right now he kinda disappears at the bottom. Love the moon exploding though! Good luck!

Interesting sketch, i like the standing man and that exploding sphere...
i think more of round shape in your city could increase the potential and make it more futuristic, actually it's only box building...but it's a first sketch, looking forward...

this is kinda second pearl harbor.

10-21-2004, 08:55 PM
that one change from the 1st sketch  , i really prefer the 1st sketch... + the remake of pearl harbor may be a purpose out of the rules and could be judged as not really original, i'm sure you can do something great with your first concept, keep it up man !
Grimreaper1981
10-21-2004, 09:55 PM
as cipher said, the first sketch is better, brings in a very mystic touch, lonely man in front of the big city containing lot of mysteries and maybe the destination of his journey (just a thought) keep goin':D
I think the first concept is stronger, composition wise - but will agree that the man should be a bit larger. Its a very nice city-scape design, and is very 'grand'.
I like the idea behind the second concept - but the bottom part of the composition seems a little too centered and leaves alot of blank space on the bottom left/right. You probably shouldn't parallel the ships with actual countries either (I can't help but notice the zero-like circles on the wings of the fighters, for example). My only reasoning behind such a change is that it seems more like a future depiction of our world than a 'space opera'.
Its a good start, you've got two very strong ideas going. :)

Ok this is a image that shows how is gonna start a concflict between to nations, the tecnology its so much avanced that the have devices that can track the nuclear bombs and stuff so the only can attack like the old times, using space aricrafts, or however they called jeje i dont know to much english. so good luck for everyone.

I think the first one was great but very common to see person standing in front of buildings, I have already seen a few like that.
You might want to add some more stars in the background.
I have not seen anything like yours yet, which is why I like it so much. Keep up the good work.
:)
Take care.

this are gonna be the space ships on the docks.
SibSpi
10-22-2004, 03:07 PM
I like both ideas - the ship looks like it could ram the hell outta anything btw ;)
The first one really seems to grab the idea of 'grand' while the second one has the feeling of 'grand climax' of sorts. In other words the one seems to almost be the excellent recovery after something was lost, while the others seems to be about to lose something of great value just after it was completed.
Kinda like humans having just made the earth into effectively heaven, then having a giant comet bash it to bits :P

Really like the sketch!!:bounce:
But i prefer the first concept, i like the composition, and the city seems to be very very cool.
The second concept is cool, but you must work more your composition... i think
Nevertheless (it's just??), i think you can make a cool final image!! Keep going! :buttrock:

10-22-2004, 08:35 PM
Your idea is pretty good :). Keep it up. I would advise you to make the weapon FX the most eye-catching thing in this image. Since this is a picture depicting war the main theme should be the weaponary.
P.S. One more advise... I can see in your concept only a few flying ships, maybe you should add more in the 3D scene... and also make some bullets(lasers) crossing the line of view. That should add a nice effect to the image you're doing ;). Good luck!

INteresting concepts, great progress too!
Just one suggestion, I find that the under part of the city is too similar to the above part of the city, to me at least the underground (concept of underground) is piping and non inhabitable structures. Unless you plan on having the city excite both above and underground, which would also be cool but I'd like to see some contrast between the two :)
Hope that helps in anyway :) Great work!
