Going slow but never stop , here is a little up of the robo , I think he will be sat on the ship instead of the terrible draw , to show how subimiss he is to the ship.

Well Im playng with textures a little I was tired of modeling .
This is not the way I want , maybe it should be more opaque.
The texture was made for the arm only thats the cause of it looking weird in the body.
Any help is welcome.:)

Maybe If You Clean Off That What ever Color You Have In Bak And Repalce it With A dark Gray And A Spot Light Wirh A Sky Light Will Help It Too.

Im thinking about the composition , maybe I will put some action on it , like the pirate fighting his old fellows to defend the ship.
this textures are not fnished , they were done only for the arm , put I aplyed it in all the robo to have an idea of how it would look .

ok here come the thoughts:
the robot is good. like how cool the hand is done and the inventive way the leg moves.
i just cant notice the so cute you have designed. SO cute head. really cool that you even had the time to think about putting dents tu the brass, not just rust. btw rusting place need lesser bumb level or height (dunno how exactly call it in your program). overall nice work so far. and if i could make a suggestion, make a BIG/HUge opera, where the best can perform and alot of pep can listen to them sing.
maby the brass should not be so shiny, because it rusts.
maby the reflection should be more grainy.
maby the brass should be more colorful or orange/brown like the color of brass is...
other things: i have looked in a few threads and pep over there complain if there are. streching textures, so i suggest to fix that on the lower yaw. i really dont get if the foot and finger textures are sreching too.

hey Nocric I liked your comments , Ill try to do most of what you said . about the textures , it was designed only for the arme , the other pieces arent even with the uvs , I apllyed the texture to have an ideia of how it would look .

Visualact , I made a better light with the pose that I think will be the final , but the disk where I saved is crashed so Ill bring it tomorrow .

ok , im putting some details on the ship and thinking about the composition .
I think Ill put the robo in a instable position on the ship to make it more dramatic.
and the final render will look almost like this .
Now I made the textures corrections I guess.....

He the first test with textures , Im worried about the black look in it , cause in our culture black represents evil , and ppl inside the ship ,are not evil they are just victims.

I like really like it... maybe a little bit too shiny... looks as if it's wet.
You may want to either push the bump amount or the shinyness down a bit.
I have to say that I really like your robot... big bodys with small heads are just great... I love this kind of "set up" since I first saw 5th element!

I like the models, they have an interesting shape. 'Though I liked the robo better when he was not textured... in that first render you posted. I thought it'll be more shiny and clear... My impression is that the ship and the robo are a bit "overtextured", if you know what I mean. Otherwise, it's cool!

Liveman - Yeah maybe it could be simpler , but I like messy robots too, lets see how it will look in the end , its hard to get the way I want. I wanted something like that draws in old lunch box. eheheh it would be funny , I think that is pure space opera.

Just wanted to say that the robot and the concept you've been showing us looks great!
The robot design is so cool! So unusual! I do believe that sometimes it's difficult to get away from the usual concepts we're used to see. You create a robot that's different from anything else I've seen.
Also, nice work on the textures. Really cool. And the modeling seems very clean, very well done.
Can't wait to see where this thing goes. Keep up the great work, man!

im sorru about my last post, i think youre doing a great job, but you should use photoshop to make the enviroment real, maybe puting some fog and fire, and you need work out the background. thats it.

Hi there! I like your tests very much... and here are my 2 cents to improve it:
- In my opinion the mech should have more bended legs, and the body should be generaly posed lower, it would add more realism and dynamism
- It would look nice if he in his left hand held the gun like it is now in the right hand, the body woul dbe bended towards camera, and right arm with a gun also would be targeted into the sky in the direction of the left upper corner of th epicture... (I hope you got what I mean, because by my description I'm not sure if I understand it:))
- falling mechs should have arms up
- ship is great, but it would be good if some small plates, or other parts came off the part of the ship where the main mech is...

Ok my idea is about space pirates, not original talking this way , but imagine a giant pirate robot trying to rob a spaceship almost his size infested with little robots inside it . In the battle before all the ship guns being destroyed the robo looses his engine to fly. This way he is traped on the top of the ship and by other side becomes theyr only possibility of defense . The robo would never let them go home or he would be destroyed .
