Alexis R. Solano has entered the Grand Space Opera 3D.

Challenge Page (http://www.cgnetworks.com/challenge/grandspaceopera/view_entries.php?challenger=4164)

Latest Update: Modeling: Killion Arcuria - Modeling - Hands
http://www.cgnetworks.com/challenge/entries/7/4164/4164_1103491579_medium.jpg (http://www.cgnetworks.com/challenge/entries/7/4164/4164_1103491579_large.jpg)

Here is a screenshot tooked from maya viewports, to show the progress in the hands. At the momment the hands have unnecesary amount of polys, so I have to clean up a bit. Add the nails and some detail, like muscle detail.

Then I will finish the metalic arm. (left arm)

---------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Message

Hello everybody and welcome to my "Grand Space Opera 3D Entry)!

This pictures show the creation of my sketch.

http://www.arsa-studio.com/challenge/sketck1.jpg
Here I began the sketch process in the basic form, once I got the inspiration.

http://www.arsa-studio.com/challenge/sketck2.jpg
Here I'm adding more detail to the clouds; like a stormy view.

http://www.arsa-studio.com/challenge/sketck3.jpg
Here I'm finishing setting up the " calmed / desolated " ambient.

http://www.arsa-studio.com/challenge/sketck4.jpg
Here I'm adding the shape of the " Destroyed City "

ARSA

This is not my final sketch is still missing some details, for example; I will add some sort of frog-like creature around the grass close to the tree, I will add ( to the tree ) some sort of seed/fruit that looks like stasis-pods, and also I will add a main character to the scene.

-= Title: Isolated Hope =-
http://www.arsa-studio.com/challenge/sketck5.jpg

- Detail -

http://www.arsa-studio.com/challenge/detail1.jpg

Story behind the idea:
“In order to have a great civilization and in order to expand your territory, you have to persecute and destroy your enemy until the day you annihilate them from existence.”
(A thought by the enemy emperor)

There is always a thread among the weaker link in time of battle. And I have tried to describe that moment with this painting. Many years ago a dreadful battle caused this civilization to fell. Many years have past and enemy drones creep around the remains of once a great civilization. The enemy looks for any intelligent type of life form and destroys it; therefore no one can stop them or regain control of the land. Hope is always there standing alongside the path, telling you to never stop, telling you to fight with all you got.

To do list:

a) The first thing I will add to the painting is the essence of alien life form. By adding the frog-like creatures and the stasis-pod fruit to the tree.
b) Then after everything looks good (to me) I will add the sense of hope (the main character of the scene)
c) Retouch illumination – details – etc…

I’m still confused about the main character; I’m not sure if I want a human-like creature or an alien-like creature as the main character. For now this is what I got:

a) A man-like silhouette, armed with a big weapon, staring at the drones.
b) A man-like silhouette, just standing there.

What do you think?
Cheers!

Here is an example of what I'm specting from the final sketch.

Hey Hey!

Good to see another person focusing on a more micro iconic subject, now I know I'm not alone :D

The colours are going to be really nice, I've always been a fan of the golden sky. Ca't wait to see what the life forms look like.

What if, for your main character, you had atotally battle weary fighter. Maybe he could have a weapon, or some other form of obvious hero or warrior-like status. Then, maybe he could be bloody or be bandaged up. This could show that, although he's had the shit kicked out of him, he's still going on (alone, even).

I was reading a post about "samurais, warriors" something like that and I came across the word samurai. So I sketched a samurai holding a piece of soft-cloth like silk, in his left hand and welding a sword in his waist, and he seems like thinking...

I don’t want the picture to look bloody, because I want to keep the scene of "calm / waiting for the right moment"

but my samurai doesn’t look too much of futuristic or another world - like living form.

I've got no ideas! I will of course have some, but you've got to show some character development of you frog-like creatures. I'd love to help with them, but I will have to know what you've got in mind before I can provide any good help :D

I suggest you take a look at a human, write down the characteristics, do the same for a frog and combine them. Or you could just start sketching, which is more fun! :wip:

Thanks and welcome Christoph_H84 :bounce: ;

Method:

I'm thinking at the moment... there are many combinations I can go with, depends on my time. Like for example, I know for sure I will model several plants then use sprites to fill in, post render, etc... For the grass I can use fur, sprite, etc... there is no animation going on, so I wont pay too much attention to certain criteria’s. I will test, test, some of the techniques I know, read some more here and there, and come up with the best I can do (and the best my system can handle)

Cheers!

Hey,

I love the background imagery. The atmosphere of it is great! But i don't think that the foreground elements match the background ones. The foreground it oftly organic where as the stuff in the back is geometric and mechanical. Maybe find a way to bring some of the foreground elements back and the background elements forward.

ARSA

Hiya there HieSpike!

I don't want to be rude, but... did you read the beginning of the thread?

- I'm saying this because this is what I want the image to look like: "there is going to be a hero/hope standing WAY BACK, staring at the enemy drones, that are looking for survivors to kill them all"

So, the idea is to show the main character waiting for his turn to strike back :D ( so he is staring at the enemy from a grassy/forest like mount/mountain.

Again, please don’t get me wrong! if you think My idea is "weak, lol" PLEASE explain with a little bit more detail what would you like to see :D.

Thank you for your imput!

- Cheers!

Hi,

Don't get me wrong, I never said your work is weak!!! I love your stuff. I just said that the stuff in the back look different than the stuff in the front. Something as tiny as a purple light in the back could bring the two planes together. And you deffinetly don't have to agree with me, its just my thoughts.

Hi Arsa, well I like your last hero concept the guy with tenticles, octopus kind of thing.
One suggestion try for making normal human legs and add a tail on his back. Just try it
and see hoe it looks. But I am fine with your last concept.:)

oshiroii

I like the image, but uhm I get the idea that the city is detroyed and the citizens are looking at it from a distance? There is some action, but it is quite far away. If you want to make it more dramatic and actionfull you should experiment with other camera angles. I mean, where's the really nice guy with the tenticals going to be, what's he gonna do? Or are those characters hiding from the vessels searching for targets? Anyhow, still looking good.

peaceHieSpike no offence taken :) and thank your for keep coming back to the thread.

Regarding the front plane and the back plane, I will try my best to add some purple lights in the back, in the vegetation area and see how that looks :)

For the 3D scene, I already had in mind adding some of the trees with the "pods" in the foreground to the background, I bet it will look alot more detailed in the 3D. since my 2D is VERY limited  the background should look like a dense vegetation.

madshooter Hi and thank you.

I will sketch the guy with legs and a tail to see how it looks, but I will try to stay away from the "human" legs, they will be more like some sort of "biped-animal" legs :).

You know what, as a matter of facts, I will make both "human-like and animal-like" legs.

oshiroii, Yes! thats exactly the point I'm trying to achieve :)
you said: "Or are those characters hiding from the vessels searching for targets?"

The vessels in the back, are lurking the remains of one of many destroyed cities in this planet; and the character (main guy in the picture) will be staring at the vessels from a distance, waiting for his turn to strike back. The image will not have a sense of war, action, is more like a sense of post war "calm-quite" place, because everything is destroyed, except for " HOPE "

Do you really think I should go with something more "action like"? I mean there are different stuff happening at the same time in an actual "space opera"

- Thanks for coming by

oshiroii
10-22-2004, 04:37 PM
I don't think you should insert more action, only if that was your goal you should have. You might make the image so it's quite long in the horizontal scale. Then make this forest like forground, like the edge of a forest. Make it so that it takes up the entire forground, like you're really looking trough the forest. And in the distance, you got these vessels searching the area and some characters hiding behind the trees. Well actually that is what you already have O_o, only I got a different picture in my head, could make a sketch to show my input if you'd like.

I'm with you there! oshiroii :wavey:

Please do, post your sketch so I can visually interpretate your message :)

for the final product I had in mind using a wider image, and adding a few more trees, bushes to the foreground. What you are saying sounds very similar to what I have in mind.

- Remember this is only a sketch :banghead:

This would probably be really hard to pull off, considering you want the focus on this character, but what if you gave either natural camoflauge or thrown together/hand made stuff? That way, he'd be doing everything in his power to hide (until he strikes! )

Gav

ARSA
10-22-2004, 05:32 PM
Sure, lets go with that, I will make the image wider, I will add more trees to the foreground (like copy padte, thing) I dont have much time :(

I will also add the purple lights to the bg, come out with the biped concept of the guy, wearing some sort of junk made equipment.

thanks for your kind words :D

 I just want to let everybody know, there is going to be a little change in the main idea, it won't conflict with the main idea of "peace/hope/waiting" thing, is more like re-arranging things around the sketch, and instead of having one character, I will have more characters in the scene, since many people seems to agree with that :)

I will also develope a deeper/detailed forest, where these creatures are hiding from the vessels in the background. And I think I will add some more stuff to the enviroament, since I have been looking around, and MAN! I tell ya, there is really good people around here, lots of beautifull talented artist :D wow, I'm amazed...

Maybe try to think about some serious grand wildlife he he.
Something utterly huge and impressive.
I am thinking massive growth. Maybe lower the camera view and use a frog style camera view or bird perspective to fit more within the cameras field of view.
use perspective to convey vastness.

Dont be afraid to explode your designs. Think out of the box and go beyond earth nature. (I am sorry god I know your designs are truly great).

I think the basic idea is demonstrated in this concept art! I don't think the detail for the character hiding is really important (for now).

Next I'll work the tentacle guy as a biped :)

Cooler and cooler. Though I think you should give the character(s?) hinding a little rim light because I didn't see them till you pointed them out.

I can't come up with a nice way to make them more visible

You think adding a thicker layer of light in the outline would help? If I do that I will have to do the same in the trees...

Yeah Just to pop them out from the Background, it will also add a greater sence of depth. It doesn't have to be much just an outline that can be seen that gets a little bit thicker the closer it gets to the lighted areas and trails off in the darker reigons.

EDIT: This scene will be updated again after all the characters have been developed. The characters in this scene represent the enemy drone/scout ships and the planet life form. In the final conposition, I will update the shape of the characters to look more alike the people from that planet. ( have a look at the upcomming pages ) to see more about these people.

I like your sketches (and colours too).
Considering you want to keep the scene of "calm / waiting for the right moment". I think that is not so easy to do but I think you managed easy with that.
The vegetation in the foreground, the distant drones and remains of the ancient buildings in the background is giving me the feeling like I`m hideing of something.
You are working very fast too.
Good luck!!!

I like the paintwork and colours of this, it is an interesting picture to explore.

One query: The leftmost quarter seems empty, is this on purpose? Would the picture suffer if you cropped it to a regular 4x3 aspect loosing that quarter?

Hello everybody! :wavey:

First of all I want to apologise for not saying Hi to Edric Yoeliawan. Sorry for some reason I missed your post.

Edric Yoeliawan - I dont want to go for the city type of future-looking scene, I like more detailing landscapes.

PROctavian - Thank you for passing by! And thank you for your words. I'm glad I can bring this sort of project to this awesome community.
- Thank you all :D

HieSpike - yup! finally I got it right :D, the real reason I did not do it that way from the begining was because I was being lazy. Thank you for helping me pushing this through!
- Also Thanks to all of you for helping me create this piece!

Regarding what you said about "starting modeling" The answer to that is - Not yet. Because I just finished the line art for the "male character" ( I will sketch all the characters first )

simoncvy - Thank you for your words! Regarding your Query the answer is " yes, the left area was left empty (for now) I'm waiting to see how is going to turn out once I begin modeling and arranging stuff in the 3D enviroament.

superlayer - Yo! whats up! Thank you, thank you :arteest: I couldn't have done it with out all of you. I will sketch everything out before starting any 3D. I'm trying to keep this as detailed as I can, so once starting modeling, I wont have to figure stuff out... (for example: where the camera goes, where the characters go!) simple stuff like that.

Next - I'm doing something important now. Once I'm done with that I will upload the picture concept of the male character. ( line art only - not painted ) I will paint the artwork tonight :D

nice concept I really like what I see thus far. However I don't really get that epic feel this competition is all about. It feels more like an espionage mission of sorts. Maybe you could show more of the city and its ships? And maybe a more dramatic view? Hope I've been helpful.

:buttrock:
Hi! there keetmun! :wavey: and thank you for stopping by.

The Story: I have to sit down and finish typing the story, I will do this before modeling at any time soon.

keetmun everybody think differently, and to my opinion my concept DO fills the epic feeling. If you read the begining of the thread, the whole point of the image is "hope" there is alway a hero among us, among the minority. There is always a thread among the weaker link. There is this hero, awaiting for his turn to come back, awaiting for the day he will claim his homeworld back.

After saying all this, the other point of the image is " that we don't know if the day in the picture is the day, the hero returned"

Thats pretty interesting to me, is not all about "espionage mission", if you were in the same possition as this characters, you would be hiding as well, waiting for the right momment to return your attack and claim what is yours, back!

The city is a symbol of the not forgoten war that happened around 15 years ago in their home planet. I wan to show the beauty of the planet, the people of the planet waiting for their time, and the enemy lurking through a destroyed city that doesnt belong to them.

3D point:
I think the city will be more detailed in the 3D render, than it is now, since I don't think I have the time to sit down and create a really looking city (destroyed at the same time)

Hope this help you understand the concept and the purpose the picture.

-Cheers!

The hero looks like he has been living rough for a long time - but if so he would need some equipment to survive, at least a knife, and perhaps a spear and rifle too.

Given his very worn out clothes I wonder what state his armoury would be in.

Hey there rdj! :bounce: Thank you for stooping by!

Can you be more specific.

Thanks :D

-Cheers!
I can!

I mean it like, he looks so friendly and nice and such, but when i look at his head his eyebrows are in a "mean" position and well the way i feel it he looks mean when you look at the head and he has like the metallic pins and the metal thing on his let shoulder, but when you look at his bodies colors he seems to friendly and nice, so i thought that a darker color scheme would make him look a little more agressive/mean.

and hey he's a hero, but that doesnt mean he has to look all friendly :P

I hoped that cleared it up a bit!

ARSA
10-24-2004, 09:31 PM
simoncvy - yes! his people have been living hell! and yes they have weapons, and the armory is basicly thorn pieces of metal in their shoulders, this people run all day long, thats the reason I did not give a heavy armor to the character.

rdj - there are several things in the concept and the reason I colored that way. Before looking as his clothin, think that his clothe is dirty, and no I dont want him to look mean. but I dont want him to look happy either. This drawing will be used for my front - viewport, when I begin modeling. I have him without any clothing and with the clothing, for modeling purposes only.

The color of his clothe, means that there are several patches making his cloth. Think of his clothe as pieces of cloth patch togeter to form a whole "shirt" "pant" "etc"

I dont want to give him "nice clothing"

Hope this helps!

madshooter

Very nice things here ARSA. Been away for some time, but I'm back  Lot's of improvements, really like the scene concept art ;) Also like the character a lot. It's much better without tentacles. I must agree with simoncvy about the ascesoires. He will most likely have things to help in certain situations. Some pockets would be nice or a pouche. Could come in handy or things like a nife or pistol to kill animals. Be sure to think about these things, for he's the main character. You could work out his character and then add things, he might like certain things above other things or he's more into direct action than distance action, thinkg to consider

Just dropping by and noticed this: Everything's got lights, exept for his glasses and mask. You could insert some lights there too, since it is on all of the technology things. And all of them have got lights so..

ARSA
10-26-2004, 02:55 PM
Hiya there oshiroii! :wavey: nice to see you around !

Yes! by default the liquid inside the mask, is some sort of flourecent ooze of some sort, and I will add some sort of lights to the side of the mask filter. (the thing in the front that looks like an gas mask) But I wil not add lights to the googles (maybe one like a button in the back side), since they are light sensitive ( They have become light sensitive, because of the spot lights of the enemy drones and they have to live in places where the enemy cannot reach such as caves, holes in the ground, bunkers, among others)

LOL! :applause: !!!

I'm glad you clarify that, I'm really are... well regarding your question, As soon as I finish sketching the whole idea, thats how I work... The next upcomming sketches are going to be low detailed sketches, more like rough sketches, dirty ones... (no fancy there) that will take prolly this week, then by next week (if not earlier) I will begin modeling process for sure. I already started doing some 3D stuff, like mixing shaders, looking at my primitives, making sure if I'm going to use nurbs, or sub d, to create my base shapes, all those things. Like for example, I created this giant field, with some trees, to see how long it takes to render sertain things...

Thanks for asking :D

madshooter
10-26-2004, 03:26 PM
Well my suggestion is go for subdivision modeling, it is more quicker and still you can achieve

great results:)

ARSA
10-26-2004, 03:39 PM
Yeah, Sub D is really great, the only thing I hate is I cannot render "Mental Ray" with it. I have to turn the mesh into a poly mesh in order to render.

But I dont know why Im complaining about it, if must time I turn nurbs to sub D then sub D to poly :applause: funny how my head works ! (I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who do this)

It's time for me to barge in again and talk nonsense. You [and a lot of others] are compositing your scene in a landscape view [so natural for space opera thing], but in the rulles it said that dimensions of image should be aproximately 1[width] x 1.5[hight]... or maybe I have misundersood something as usual?

Excuse me? I know that I have lots of stuff to model, but most of this stuff are primitives, with the exeption of the characters... and besides whats the rush! I like to plan my stuff out, worse case scenario, I can't finish the design, big deal... (I'm looking forward to finish the design)

I'm doing this for fun! :bounce: not to compite (to a sertain degree)

 Very good, it's about learning and fun. It would be nice to win a price, but if you don't win you'd probably have learned stuff on the way and become much better than you were before. :D

About the character.
I like it, specially the tail, but it doesn't look really female. From the feet to the waist is female for sure, but the torso... I think her shoulders are too wide, too malish. You could also widen the thighs a bit or thinner the waist, give here a bit longer neck. I really think you should change the face. The design is cool, but you should really make her female, now it looks too much like the male version. Some changes, but no female changes. You could give here the same sort of tail on the head to represent ponytails, I think it would fit, since you've already got a tail. Work on the brows. Female brows are usually different from male brows, bit more sharp or stylized.

cya! ;)

scratch that, here are the rules [copied out of the official rules]:

FOR THE FINAL IMAGE:
A guideline is 2657 pixels wide and/or 3636 high, 300 DPI (portrait), or
3636 pixels wide and/or 2657 pixels high, 300 DPI (landscape). Your image
aspect ratio and layout will dictate the final resolution. These are given
as guidelines. To be safe, render images that are larger than these
specified.

when I said that "landscape is so natural for space opera thing", I ment that it is the most common format for it [IMHO] !

About the brows: Mostly, man brows are more brushy, more solid and one thickness, it can vary a bit though. Female brows are usually thinner, more like a line or with some curvature or thichness change in them, some are even shaved into form. It might help to define a female look, just as a longer neck, I believe women have a smaller head to (not sure though)

Bout' the current design:
Yeah I noticed the rifle. Just becuase she's skinny doesn't mean she can't lift a rifle. I think you'd rather get stronger in the arms than broader in the chest by carrying a gun. I don't think the gun would weight much anywayz. I figure she's running around a lot (at least in the first image she seems to be quite atlethic) She's hiding and rebelling against the alians, right? I assume she's in a good condition and will run from one place to another a lot, could you use a big fat 300 pound gun then? But enough of that, I noticed the right drawing and the hips are to wide, I meant just a little bit. Another thing: you won't make her more female by giving here tombraider breast. The first image is much more natural breast-concerned. I figure they would really get in the way while running around with a gun. Also the waist seems really small because of there size and the size of the hips.

( I used a mouse to do the changes, hopefuly I will do the same changes in he original .psd version I got at home, fix the union among the "2 pieces" forming one. "like a cat-suit

Based upon the comments I think this will help a little bit, is some sort of mixture among the colors I already had in the art. I added a low cut "like a cat suit with a pair of leggins" Shift the colors a little bit "not to match old ones" more like to feel the same atmosphere.

Is this the one?
She got bright color in the top, (like the first image), she got dark color at the bottom (like the third image) and she has the sense of the catsuit like clothing, like the second one...

But I would suggest thinking about where your characters have been, and what they have done. That could give you a better idea about your scars. Hey there sad! :wavey: Thank you for your words

Regarding your suggestions, I think is an interesting point you got there, I can add those details, for concept purpose, But I won't add those details for the final piece, Like the rendered view, since first the scene will look pretty dark (from the inside of the forest) and second The image will be landscape view, meaning the characters are going to look, somehow "small" compare to the surrounding. I'm thinking in changing the composition a little bit, to add some sort of feeling to the picture, somehow add "fear" & "Hope" in the same image.

I'm thinking in adding one of the enemies, walking towards the people hiding behind the trees, or one of the enemies walking right beside them, and they running on fear, and the hero standing in front of the other guys, like fronting the enemy, but at the same time, he will be in a defense pose, but somehow he won't look that confident, since the enemy is a lot taller and stronger than he is.

The story is coming soon. “Please once uploaded, read it. I encourage everybody who read this post to read the story; it will be something really interesting”

you made a good point here. lots of detail won´t be noziced once the whole scene is composed.
i thought it´d would give a more personal impression.

how´s that:
the female holds a baby (3-4 years old) who holds kinda teddy bear. or a little girl pulling a toy duck behind. the girl hides behind her father.

that will render the predator as really pitiless horde.

sad, yes the main idea will be something similar to what you just described/said, but instead of having a little girl, I'm going to use 2 boys ( that way I dont have to make another model ) unless I really think I have to, I have a lot in my hands already. (LOL!)

The real reason I'm going with the details for this challenge, is because I have been working in my demo reel, so basicly everything I'm doing (3D wise) its going to be related to my final piece (demo reel) thats the real reason I'm going with all the detail and the complexity of the scene. And I thought "mmm... let me try this challenge, that way I have people helping me, inspiring me and also I have a prize at the end of the goal "if I win gotta stay positive" But the biggest prize I can get from this challenge is knowledge, and a -= 0:35 =- seconds clip to add into my reel (my reel is 3 minutes long, total time)

Wow! its insane, making a tutorial and doing the 3D at the same time, I've never done that before. Its just amazingly SLOW!

So I have been warming up! I started creating the drone/scout ship, soon I'll post some pictures :bounce:

:banghead: Tweek vertices, screen print, paste, save file, type :banghead: this is not working for me! I mean, I'm not wining or anything its just plain time consuming...

This tutorial is going to kill me, I have seen stuff in this forum, people that already have built a whole complex human character, did they created a tutorial for "how to create a human character"? I don't get it. Do I have to craete a tutorial over every single thing I created in the scene, or do I have to create a tutorial of how did I created the scene? In order to create a tutorial about how I created the scene, I have to include, how did I created the stuff in the scene... right?

Do I have to create one tutorial about anything in my scene and then submit that only tutorial like my how to create sumthing from the scene?

-any help here will be appreaciated!
-Cheers

hmmm, thats true.....i didnt red anywhere that u need to make a tutorial, just WIP......but you need to make article "Making of" if you are a winner....so i assume you are prepairing yourself already.....

heres the "Making of" part from rules:

All winners are required to write ‘making of' articles accompanied with high resolution work-in-progress stills, to be eligible for prizes. This is a requirement of the Work-In-Progress challenge so that others in the community can learn.

I just think you should write a bit about what you're doin, explaining some stuff in detail. If you winn you'll get an article on cgnetworks. That's what I understand from the above post.

:wavey: Hey guys thanks for the great support!

madshooter - Thanks for your kind words man! Yeah! I tried to keep it as clean as I can, around the holes (mesh holes)

Borro - Thanks for your kind words! Regarding your question about the texture. I'm going to start the texturing process now, since I don't have to pay attention to detail in the ship, the texturing is going to be really easy. I can have some seams, and nobody will actually care, because as in the concept art for the scene, the ship is waaaaaaaaay to far for seams to be notticed.

keetmun - Thanks for your kind words! And don't worry about the pressure, we all should enjoy this challenge 100% preassure free :applause: cuz if that where the case, man I have seen stuff in the forums that rocks 10,000 times more than my puny ship

- see ya guys next time

Cool drone with a bit of an ornamented style there  It would be a bit more convincing with some seams and stuff like that, but maybe it's in the pipeline already, or planned to come with the textures.... good stuff anyway.

Really nice so far man, looks kind of "organic" as in...not alot of hard edges. Is that intentional?

JamesMK - thanks for stoppiang by :D regarding your comment: Thanks for the kind words and regarding the texture, its probably going to have some seams going along the surface, but it wont really matter at this point, there isnt a close up of the ship in the scene. But you never know I might end working the texture a little better than planed :)

Gavin_G - Welcome back man! Yes is intentional, the non-mech but at the same time mechanical look. Is part of the design.

3D Texturing - Drone/Scout Ship - test

This is an example for the texture, I desided to go with colors more aqualish.. I not 100% sure about this, The model is in 2 halfs - thats why the model has that ugly line in the middle. is not welded.

-cheers

Note: that is not my final texture, I might change the style a bit but thats the main idea so far. I will add detail to the texture, once I finish Mapping the model :)

I think those colors could work fine. I also suggest you work very careful with the textures for this - your model have some really beautiful jugendstyle lines and it would be great if the texture would enhance them. So, some tailor made photoshopmaps to make the details in your model stand out more could be a start. I'd love to see some ornamental lines in the maps as well as in the model. Really looking good so far:thumbsup:

great progress ArSA~
seems like aqualish color will work~ your model goes well with that color since its organic~ in my opinion~ keep it up~
