Okey that's my start cause I have lots of work I hope it's not LATE :))))...
about the story :
the frame shows two races. THe first one are THE HAKES they are one of the most huge races in the galaxy "Tearon" which is very far away from the milk way :) but they own some great planet and environment which is very useful from all other populations cause the hake's planet is full with Blue crystals (the crystals are like the water for us) . they are under attack and the frame shows how they'r dying from the Mech Soldiers of the "Yudane".. the Yudanes are small population and really little planet somethn like the earth but they have on of the hugiest armies in the galaxy cause all the units they build are mechanical soldiers... OK Stop talkin and let's see How they gonna look.. I can't wait to finish this contest cause I really like the topic and hope to don't dissapoint myself... THANKS ALL SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND IT LITTLE BIT :)

Okey that's an shader test of the main ground material. This will be the main surface on the ground , but not the whole ground will be reflective like that! it will be mixed with different stones and dust. Thanks CIAO :)

for more information That Blue Stone will be the main reason of that WAR betwean "The Hakes" and "The Yudanes"
the frame shows two races. The model is looking great, the lower leg(from knee to ankle) looks to big and bulky. If you made this area look more slimer and emphasize a calf muscle it would help out I think.

Hi there Yavor!
I mean whoah! Now this is one hell of a character Youwe made! Excelent!
But, Youwe definetly gonna have to modify the legs a little cause now they wouldnt flex. Everything else is good :)
Thumbs up!

Hello Divaise! I see you're progressing! Your character works great so far! I won't say that the legs are a bit off...I see them as stylized.
The whole form of this character works well to me! I think the textures will really boost him!

Waiting for updates! :)

Great! I like it a lot, how long it rendered? My only advice now is to make a bigger bump... I mean the white and grey areas... the border should be more visible there. Now it's not very clear that this white are is a shiny poolished paint, and the grey are is something which is under the paint. So move the white areas further with bump...

Hi Yavor!
Whoah, now this is one hell of a render :scream: Realistic as it gets, those textures are awesome!!!
Well, maybe those "pipes" in his neck should have a diferent color, something like sand, but dunno...
Anyways, this rocks

Okei an big step... now I show you my concept idea about how the fianal image may look. It's not the final variant but I have somethink in my mind like that... I do this very quick and I used some dragon CATs cause it's similar like my robo... The Image will be a few soldiers in focus staying on a big rock and ready to go fly... and a few flying soldiers. and at back I will model the city with all the buildings and ships which attack the city and a lot of explosions and one big ship "The Mother" somewhere in back (it's not located on the picture) and lots of little ships in action. On the backgroud will be placed some planets.

THat's the far idea... it's just some concept the final image may be very different. Thanks.

actually the big event in the image will be the biggest ship "Mother". That ships destroys the buildings with lighting lasers somethink like "independent-day" but not exactly this will be somethink unique and lots of small ships war all over the place and about those droids they'r going to mess with the rest they prepare for joining the battle :))) that's it I think

pretty huge modeling there. of course, it's not the same concept as ID4. just reminds me of the hugeness of the ship on the film. anyway, just a question. what renderer are you using? coz the mech soldiers and the test scene looks awsome at that stage. the light was really well simulated. ha! forget about ID4, you got Grand Space.

Yavor it's been a great pleasure meeting and watching over your progress! :)
I really enjoyed your motivation and enthusiasm over your project mate! You've made some great progress leaps imagining your late entry...(December if I remember well)...and that alone was motivating enough for me at least...:bounce:

Quite a pity you didn't made the deadline BUT!!....this is not the end mate! Think over your idea again and try adding those things missing to complete your vision.....

Hope to see you soon around CG....:)

Hey man I was wondering where you went in the challenge! Now I know...It's too bad, but we're both still very young, (it says here that you're 18, I'm 19 in 2005) so we have lots more time to get way better, and you're already really good! Cheers to your future work! We'll meet again I bet.

Cheers
