Mark Loney has entered the Grand Space Opera 3D.

Hi all, this being my first challenge, I hope to learn a lot about the challenge process. But space opera has to be one of the best challenge topics Iíve heard of, and have to give it a go.

Iím still conceptualising in my head. But my basic idea is to have an earth type planet having to defend itself from an enemy invading force. (Possibly near by star system)

The scene will be taken moments before the two forces engage each other.

First thoughts are of the defending fleet from the front with there home world (what they are defending) as the main backdrop. Then a close up of one the fighters with the rest of its fleet behind it. Then reflected in the ships canopy is the opposing force to give the idea of what they are up against. Possibly missiles will have just been fired giving the scene some energy.

Iíll try post some of my concept sketches when I get home. And come up with a story to set the scene.
