This is a view like in viewport of the array with textures.
Well, i need to say that in the scenes until now i úse no light, just the default.
But as soon as the textures ar ok. I´ll configure the lights. I have to finish the Soldier and the Gundak. Maybe today i´ll post the GUndak Ship too.

Well, sorry for waste a so long time to post. Well i´ll go to the point.
The ideia is:
In the future, the humans are just a pacific a very happy civilization, that with a hight technology, made the Earth planet alive again, strong and with a very bid avriety of animals and plants. A wonderful paradise to live. So the Earth became a paradise to visit too. Another civilizations travels to the Earth to relax and have good vacations. The space is not a limit anymore. But there is a very bad civiization in the space, that nedds to move and move around the planets, destroing all they found by exploration for they ganancy, and their people just grow and grow so they always need new places with good structure to explrorate and destruct to, so move to another place. They slaves the people, and kill them without a shame. But the real problem is that it is causing a big civilizations war, cause some planets that had a peace pact with other and a pact to help each other, don´t do anything cause of fear or cause they really are not warriors, so it causes "war" between both and WAR between them and the terrible
Gundaks (the civilization of the hell). Someday the Earth became a target of Gundaks, but the humans forget how to fight, there was centuries they were a pacific people, the people who tried to became a soldier just was dieing in the big battles. Humans would resist cause didn´t want to became slaves and neither want to give the earth to be destroied by the Gundaks. But the planet was already being destroied by the war, the human civilization would never be the same again. Wrost was the fact that the Gundaks have a very very better war technology than the humans, it made them badder than they could be. The Earth and the human civilization can just survive if some other good warriors civilization help the humans in this war.
So the scene is:
A Human soldier, sad, watching the beautiful Principal Earth City being destroied by the Gundak ships whyle a big number of soldiers down the montain going the death in the so injust battle. The Sly is red by explosions, and the green grass in burning in combustive explosions.

The draws were made by a friend called: Marcus Vinicius Ribeiro Rangel (Snake), cause i don´t know how to draw, and i want to thank you Snake, you draw exactly what i designed and thought about to be the Gundak Ship (sorry for just give you ideas in words but you put it in the paper very well).:thumbsup:
Well, all this images will still be changed, the soldier will get some guns, bullets, and others war things. The ships will get some more details too, and soon i´ll post it in colors with adjusts, almost like will really be. The final Concept post will be composed yet. I want you to like and enjoy it, so i´ll make the best i can!

Hey Guys, here we go starting some modellings.
First the Arraia Ship.
I used box modelling here, with bevel in the borders and Split Polygon to make the "fine holes", just it. So i gave 1 smooth (i configurate al of it, not deault configuration) in the wings and 2 in the partial body. The Glass in the ship (the cokpit, right? can somone help with this word?) it´s a part made in extrusion faces and so extracted by the original object.
Well, look the next post for the images.
i am very happy about knowing you´re enjoing this work.:love:

This is the Human Ship, it looks like an "Arraia", and that´s the name of this ship. This ship uses special bullets to fight.

This is the human soldier. He uses an old war cloth, that was from the old last war in 3.680 A.C. , 500 years before the Gundak war, like the Arraia is too.

Almost the way i want. Now using the same technique i used for the wings to build the "body" of the ship.

Very effective and detailled line art!!
This character has a great deal of detail, which gives alot of room to explore differnt implementations in a scene. It is good to have a back stroy to your characters and design elements to maintain continuity through out production of the workd.
Have you considered any dramatic compositions with this character? I am wondering what kind of world does this character belong to.
Hope you keep these ideas in mind as you progress thorugh your work.

Front view test, to see how is the geometry working. Using Mental Ray to render the images, no lights, no Final Gathering, no Global Illumination, just the default configuration.

Whoa! Those are some really great concept sketches. I really like the soldier's gear. I don't really have any critique, looks really cool so far. Looking forward to this one.

Wow, that's one of the best soldier design I've seen in this competition. You sure knew what you wanted to do, everything works on that guy, except colors scheme (well, this feeling may come from the strange black material). Hope to see more char design from you.

Hey guys thank you for all comments, really! Hope you enjoy yje workflow of this work.
Chug, i really didn´t like the black part too. I am making some tests, but the original idea was to be leather, and the other parts a metal with red collor and silver collor too, or white, i think i´ll really know what will be better when the model will have shaders, so i´ll can make some render tests. But for now, i´ll continuous trying in the sketches, soon i´ll post some upgrades. Thank you again.

This mapping is planar in Y. And i decided too, taht this ship will have a energy tail, that when a enemy ship pass through it, it´cuts the ship. The Arraias have a defense that can´t let the tail cut them too.

here occurred an error cause of the planar in Y axe.
I selected this faces and made another plane mapping in X to fix it after when i stitch all the edges in the UV Texture Editor.

here we still have 2 errors in this mapping, i´ll fix it mapping the 2 parts maybe in, maybe, 6 or 8 little parts, and i´ll merge them in the texture editor fo make it uniform.

This is the night soldier. It means that:
The humans are weaks, and the unit time the strong Gundaks are less attentious to the war is at night cause they need to sleep in a special bed of "criogeny" to live more than the normal life time they have (they are bad, aren´t they?). So the humans have changed the old war cloth to just really attack at night, so they at least can kill some more Gundaks than during the day time. This is the Night Human Soldier.

Nice going ina' leite.....................my only suggestion or thought would be to give the red of the armor a more blackish/red,a dark burgundy or dark marroon.......give it lot's of worn and torn ,beaten up touches............Ok,just some thoughts ina' leite.........keep going strong,you are doing a fine job...............:arteest:

Virtuoso, like i said in your post, WAW, i need again to tell you that you are really "virtuoso", a wondedrful job it´s the yours! Well, i want to thank you about the ideas, and that is what i am still doing. How did you guess the real idea?
I am still modelling the another ship and the soldier yet, and soon i´ll post all of it and the Gundak Sketche, but i am at 2 works now, so i have less time than before, but soon i´ll post, and would be great to have you and the others always here to see and tell me what did you like or not. The GUndak ship is already modelled, so now, i´ll map this and model the Soldier. Sorry i cdidn´t post the Gundak Warrior yet, but i had no time to draw that. Soon.

Muito bom. Parabéns. Só achei a cor do soldado humano muito escura. Não sei como serão as cores do enimigo, mas essas me parecem mais para vilão. Para um povo pacifico, até que ele estaria muito mal encarado e intimidador. Nenhum problema quanto a isso, mas pela historia eu imaginei os humanos mais frageis ...

Here are some pictures of the soldier modelling process, i am using the cube modelling technique and i am respecting the edges loops as much as i can, and i am modelling just 1 part of the model to after mirroring it and apply a smooth. I am not using the CPS anymore cause the subdivision surface give a very smoothed mesh, and i don´t want it. Here are the images.

Thank you virtuoso. It´s so good seeing my work it´s getting better day by day. It´s very noce too to have your ideda about my Loops. I try to make it as clean and well as i can like i said.
I am trying to put here not just images, but i am trying to make a real making off of this work.

Hello my so sweet guys and friends. I am finishing the hand modeling, and soon i´ll post here the passes and technique.
I am starting to test some textures too, i´ll post the teste here too, but in spheres for a while, so´when i decided the correct way i´ll apply it to the models and...
tcham! the final scene is still finished in the sketch and the Gundak too. I´ll post maybe today, cause i am really busy here, but i´ll trry to make it out of my work time.

This is my Arraya Ship. The Human Ship.
Well, it uses just procedural textures, a very simple hierarquy.
Nothing special to say, the fire i made in separated polygon pieces with a transparency and glow. The tail is separated too, just parented to the ship, and controle by dynamic curve for the ship movements to be easier to set up.

This is a view like in viewport of the array with textures.
Well, i need to say that in the scenes until now i úse no light, just the default.
But as soon as the textures ar ok. I´ll configure the lights. I have to finish the Soldier and the Gundak. Maybe today i´ll post the GUndak Ship too.
