View Full Version : Final render looking like brazil
saygon 08-18-2002, 03:49 PM I am now using final render, but for the use of onr scene I need to make the render look like it has been rendered in brazil r/s.What I especialy mean is the grainy effect of all shadows, and very strong contract of GI.

You should use the Bruteforce Method or with the frender image method increase the ambient roughness to 50% or so

Thanks very much it did the job.
If you've updated fR to 1.x you should have controls for contrast and saturation. Use use these all the time to get the lighting I need.
Like Reality3D said, more grain = increase ambient roughness.
I wouldn't use Brute Force. It's only there if you need the ultimate detail but it's painfully slow for anything else than outdoor scenes (and even then it is)
If you want grain in shadows only you can just decrease the shadow min/max rays (in light modifier list)
But why do you want grain? No grain = no pain :)
You can always add grain in post.
