Oops. My CGTalk e-mail is incorrect. I'm going to change it and see if I can re-enter.

Hmm... I wasn't able to re-enter the challenge after I changed my e-mail. Will further e-mails be sent to my old e-mail address, or will they be sent to my current one, now that I've changed it in CGTalk?
Anyway, here is my WIP. I have in my head exactly what I want. I'm going to create a giant coliseum in space, with dozens of small spaceships flying around it. The scene will be in the middle of a war, and there will be shooting and explosions in the scene. I also may have a piece of the coliseum falling off, burning.
The scene will be from a distance, so I only need low-polygon ships. I decided to just use the tutorial with 3D Studio Max to start with, and change it from there. So far I have the modeling done (I think), and will work on texturing.
I know, the modeling is poor, but since it will not be seen close-up, I think it's detailed enough.
What do you think? About an hour into the challenge.

BTW, is this where I post my WIP for the challenge, or do I post it in the regular WIP section?

According to the contest outline, you should start with an sketch to show the overall concept. It sounds like you have a good idea, you ought to go ahead and sketch it out!
Good luck,
Bret
