I'm just wondering if any plugin developers would be interested in producing an ascii .STL export plugin for wings.
the StereoLithography format(stl) is used for those really cool laser-resin rapid prototyping machines, as well as a good polygonal format for moving between CAM and RPT programs.
I've been using wings for 3 years now and it's been my best modeler out there(and at a pretty good price, too) lately, I've been storming up ideas for CNC milling, and STL is a pretty common format for programs that generate toolpath code for the milling machine.
when I have a part I want to prototype, Wings is my first choice. the biggest problem is exporting/importing/converting through other programs to get it into FreeMill.
so... what do you think?
