get a compositing app like combustion or affter effects, or: get an editing app like primier or final cut pro

some audio editing apps also alow u to add audio

Oh, so there is no way to add it in 3ds max itself without another application?

Right Click->Properties
Choose Sound

Extra tips : you can generate the motion of your object by the variations of the sound. In the motion panel, change a controller (example : XYZ position) by an "AudioPosition" one . Realy easy to use and it gives real motion!

Thanks for the tips. Only problem is my sound files is an mp3. How do I convert it to a file that 3ds max can play? Thanks.

You can downlaod any number of freeware/shareware conversion tools, for example a good and easy one to use is http://www.goldwave.com

Just drag the mp3 right into the program window, it will automatically convert it, then from there all you do is goto "save as" and make sure you have wave output selected. Type in a filename and voila, done.
