Title: German Christmas
Name: Rado Javor
Country: Slovakia
Software: Photoshop

I try to show the melancholic atmosphere when the germans finaly knew that WWII is lost. I like the german tanks especially the tiger, so here it is.
Refs from various photos of this type of tank.
photoshop cca.25 hours of work.

Although on the high res image I could see some brush work, your portrayal of the atmosphere is supurb! I give you 8.8/10! (10 being the best)

whats so bad about seing the brush work, I like that, makes it feel more like a painting!

Haha yah whats wrong with seeing the brush strokes? :rolleyes:nothing at all, I infact LOVE to see brush work at high detail. Like someone said it gives you the look of a real painting. It is just a painting that took 25 hours... well it seems like it wouldn't have brush strokes.

Excellent painting, great atmosphere. Love the Tiger.

I have a feeling that the bombers are flying a bit low, same goes for the fighterplane.
But hey, maybe they're feeling lucky that day, huh? ;)

Looking really good !

One thing though, the back treads on the Tiger, I see they've broken, but I think its overdone. It looks if they did connect the treads would've been really 'loose'

Love it, but I have a tiny crit.

The tank tread's meant to be broken, right? Well, it should be dangling straight down, instead of curling back under towards the break.

I think you might be able to add a few more bombers in the distance, and higher up, to really sell the fact that those nazi's are screwed...

And some general damage on the builings and tank wouldn't hurt either.

But that's all just little additional things. Your works' really impressive.

nothing at all, I infact LOVE to see brush work at high detail. Like someone said it gives you the look of a real painting. It is just a painting that took 25 hours... well it seems like it wouldn't have brush strokes.

The Sistine Chapel took a lot longer than 25 hours, and you can see lots of brush strokes there.

That's the first time I've ever heard anyone say they love WWII. Kinda opens the door for all sorts of rude responses, but I'll just leave it at that.

very nice work, captures (for me) the feeling of what a soldier in the coldness of war would have felt like. Love the subtelty in the color.
