How to plit polygon

To use the Split poly tool you need to select 2 vertex.

Use Split Edge Tool (C) and mark the options for:

Split at the middle
Split poligons

Then clik on the two edges where you want the split.

you may try to use Loop Slice, Alt+C (like Bandsaw in LW), right click Apply Tool in ToolPipe.
But it seems no way to change slice direction if only one poly selected (like the image you show). please correct me if i missing something.

Split Poly tool works with Vertices selected

not sure why it isnt in vertex section

Mesh Edit tab you can find Edge slice to do the above like lluistar said

Joo ur right loop slice slices all the way around a loop building unwanted poly's

but you do need to select more than one poly in the direction u want the loop to go

thanks Nando clarify this, I also make few macros of loop slice for better workflow like in LW Quick cut 1, Quick cut 2...:)
