Hi guys,
Recently I started learning Maya 6. I used to be a max user, but I felt that in the industry of animation it was nessecairy to have good experience with Maya. Now, I wanted to make something using SubDiv surfaces. But in my latest -attempt- i've come up with a strange error. Since it's my first time using this forum, I can't post images, but I can post the url.

In the first image you'll see a 'car' with standard lambert shading. In the second one I dragged a new phong material on the car (because I cannot right-click > add material > ... with this object anymore for some reason). It looks all crappy and my front 'hole' has disappeared. Does anyone know where the origin of this problem is? Thx
Kind regards
Duke
