Title: Stratocaster
Name: Kåre Wedel Jacobsen
Country: Denmark
Software: (Other), Blender

This is my first post here on cgtalk so hi all. I've made a Fender Stratocaster wich started as a test but ended up as something I felt quite proud of. It's modeled in Blender and rendered with HDRI in Yafray. C&C are very welcomme thanks.

I can see sharp edges... may be they need more smoothing ....

the three screw mount on the bridge pickup is a telecaster mount...strats usually have the two screws like the other pickups in the model... you're also missing a pickguard screw at the end of the lower horn

looks real nice though good job

good:thumbsup:
as said the right curve is weird. and it's because it get almost flat use PET( OKEY in editmode) to give it more curve. I suppose this is all mesh... realy easy to fixe anyway.

All you have to do is go to Fender's site and download a picture of a guitar

Awesome job bro!! You really did a nice job here! Only critique I have is that you forgot to give it the Truss Rod.

except truss rods aren't always adjusted at the headstock on all fenders...some models had an adjustment screw at the heel ... you had to take the pickguard off or unscrew the neck to get at it...I used to do guitar repair and custom work

the pic above isn't the same year as the one you've modelled which looks like an 83 to me except the 22frets

I just noticed the string spacing is very off at the nut.

and if you want to be ridiculously picky..the intonation (saddle adjustments to the scale length) is off

Thanks for all the comments! I used Blender 3.34 and the newest version of Yafray, I think it's 0.07. I know there's some differences from a real strat and that's mostly because I messed around with refrence images of other guitares too. So it got a little mixed up:shrug:. I didn't quite get the thing about the curve (I'm not that good at english) so I'm not sure what it's about.
About the missing screw; thanks, I hadn't noticed that.
About the reference images you could use my pic :). Or else, as said, there's some good pics at fenders homepage. Guitars. (http://www.fender.com/products/show.php?seek=electricguitars)
