BTW, the dance floor project, can you tell us a bit about it?

The dance floor is the main setting for a musical piece I'm doing. It begins with all th lights off, except the spotlight in the middle which reacts to the soft music as it begins. then as the rest of the orchestra comes in, the mood lighting turns on (lights under the steps, soft uplighters inside the blue columns. etc...

Technically, all the texturing is SLA for the different types of marble. The most recent pic also uses the new R8 glow filters and highlight effects for the flares on the shiney objects.

10 minute render time at 1024 with geometry AA. Mostly thanks to all the shadow maps and layered SLA, Ill stick an anim up in a minute
