Name: Nebi Yikaroglu
Software: 3ds max, Brazil r/s, Photoshop
I maked this work for my friend. Her name is "Hilal" and Hilal's mean is "new moon" in Turkish. Rendered with Brazil rs and I used some Photoshop filters.

I thinks it's a very nice idea..but the sky is yellow and seem out of place.-
to add dark sky of stars would be nice..?
-the colors are warm,so i get the impression almost as if it is a slice of sun.,not the moon.
...it still works somehow though,very nice mood.

That softness and grainy look is awesome! All that ropes one the houses are also reall nice! Just very nice work...! Reall nice example of what you can render within Brazil! Hilal will be very happy with it, isn't it? ;)
Could you explain a little about the lighting (I like that :) )?! I'm interested in how you let 'glow' that moon, and if that moon itselves illuminates the buildings? :)

Wow very nice ;] I think ti coudl use more cotnrast though, so it appears the moon is actauly lighting the scenen and the objects farther away from it are in darkness

I really like the idea behind this, and you seem to have implemented it well. Even though some of the lighting seems a little out of place, I like it a lot! Wonderful job!
