Give her some class man. Loose the background.

Hmmm I have to say that she looks really good, I like the hair!!!
But yeah she looks more like a prostitute now, so another background (beach...) and less red would do the trick.
You've got the skill... but please make her no slut!!
PS. next time post in a "Jpg" format, bitmaps are hard to load!

great job!!! Really amazing!
Why those people don't like naked pretty girls? Do they all are puritans? Naked women are current in art. Or you all think that Rubens was some kind of pornographer? Maybe Michelangelo and his naked David is pornograph....
:shame: :thumbsdow
I'm drawing an adult version of the coppertone girl. Could you please see and give some adivices? I'm having big problems with the background.
Here's the wip! (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11476&perpage=15&highlight=rodinho&pagenumber=5)
Your colouring is astonishing. Could you please upload more images? maybe a bigger version or some details?
Great work
keep posting
see ya
PS - .... I forgot... how did you do that hair? beatifull!

I think you don't exactly understood what I meant.
It has been skillfully painted. I have no problem whatsoever with the fact that someone draws a naked or sexy girl. Check out my older threads and you'll understand ;)
The problem I have with this piece in particulair is the completely tasteless presentation because of that background.
I think it will look a whole lot better without any background whatsoever.
What wonders me a bit is that if someone can paint a girl this good, why on earth would he make a background this tacky? And what are those drops on her body???

jeroentje, I was not refering to you!!!
sorry!
I know your briliant work and prey god every night to give me some of your skills!
I was just mentioning that some people on this forum simply don't like naked girls, despite of not being offensive or porn, and do not give comments as well.
The background is really too poor. But thinking on the work of alberto vargas, sorayama and lots of other pin up drawners... I guees if the background is really necessary on this kind of art.
No background give tha girl more focus... don't you think?
PS - sorry for my bad english.

I do not wish to speak for others, but I am under the inmpression that everyone who commented in this thread has the same problem with the piece. No-one here has said anything about not posting naked girls.
Okay, I'll say what I said before: loose the background and you have a nice piece of pin-up painting (but I still don't understand those big pimples).

(And Bruzundanga praying for my skills? That is just Bruzundanga who is being polite. But thanks for the nice words, it is really flattering ;) )

You're welcome!
You draw in a way I wanted myself to. Tired of being so realistc. It wastes tons of time. :annoyed:
I was not been polite. it's the whole truth.....
Talking about what I said, please, forgot. Maybe I misundestood you talking about the background with you mentioning the fact of she's neing almost naked. Sorry. My english is VERY bad this time!
Missed so many english classes.

Okay, thank. I love your stuff a lot aswell.
If you want to get in a looser style, I come from a past of airbrushing and of extremely tight line-art, and I went trough that fase aswell. Only in traditional media.
What happend then was this: I had to do a lot of concept work for my job, so I had to do a lot of very, very, fast marker drawings in greyscale for a while. Like 3 min sketching, 1 min. inking using see through paper and 1 min. kicking in the shadows with 1 or 2 cool grey markers. That will loosen up your style for sure :)
But let's not screw up Survivor_2k's thread by getting off-topic.
I think it is time for a reply of his.

I really hope that you are not trying to say that you did the picture of that girl.
Because i know who really did it and it is really bad what you did to the artists painting.
The original painting was done by Drew Posada.
http://www.rbeditions.com/product.asp?banecd=1545
I think you had better not be doing that to his paintings and telling people that you did it because they are Đ images.

Wow, Drew Posada sure got a good background with that girl. I mean if this guy wants to take credit for Drew's work, then he could atleast make it look better than the original, which would be quite a challenge.
But he said 'The woman is one tube that I used, and the effect I who I created' I think he was saying that the effect is what I created. So he never was taking credit for the woman. It's just very hard to understand his message.
Well, I gathered as much from the difference in quality between the girl and the background.

I think he means that the woman he just used and he wants comments on the background he made. Thats just the way I interperated it, I'm not really sure what he ment though.

The picture itself is wonderful, the style appears airbrushed. For a flat picture, I would have to agree with the others in changing the background.
But she would be perfectly at home on the gas tank of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Mmmm. I don't understand the message very well, but seems that this guy grabbed the pinup from somewhere and only made the BG.
And I 100% agree with jeroentje: The Background is terrible.
So.... :hmm:

Before I would like to say somethings. First, actually Iīm not an expert, referring the digitaldesign (I donīt know work with this programs of design, like photoshop. I just work with paintshop), so dont ask me to amazing design. Second, Like I said, Iīm not created this girl, It is one "tube" for the Psp. Third, I have much few works made in psp(I am training to improve my work) and this is the first one that I make with a naked woman. Usualy Iīm not make nude girls, and I do not see problems. What I find unjust, in another topicthere are a little drawing with a woman nude(showing your brests) and nobody had complained. Why me, itīs no fair, insīt? Well. I donīt speak english very well, sorry for for something.
Bruzundanga: Very thankīs to supported me.

Wow it's amazing!
Great work!
The only crit is that i think the end of the long golden hair should been more blur to fit the red background!
And maybe add a more wonderful background instead of this one!

Shafeek Amiruddin,

I'm drawing a Silvia's pic (link above, somewhere). And I know how she looks.. and this girl painted here is NOT silvia.
This pose is commom.. you can find lots of pics showing that 3/4 angle.
