CGTalk - Symmetry & Weld...

I was trying to find the LW tips thread but no go so I thought I'd share something I have recently changed in my workflow...

I always work in symmetry mode and always when it comes to welding I forget to disable it, therefore I no longer weld but use the vertex snap function...

Quick start "G" then move vertex to the vertex you would normally weld and then press "m" to merge...

Maybe most of you do this anyway but I thought it was worthy of adding here, any other tips welcome...

Guess what? All morning I was wishing the weld tool would work in symmetry mode :)

Thanks, welding in symmetri drives me crazy sometimes so this was a good tip :)

The plugin "Symmetry Weld" by Mike Hatfield is great. It came out in 2002 and I guess it should be avalable through flay... really kinda sad that the feature has yet to be implemented by NewTek. The plugin works like a charm though...
