My partner and I were recently contracted to create low-poly models for an educational title. The 'game' allows students to explore an aspect of history and collect relevent information from people to determine why certain historical events have occurred. The current project we are working on is centered around WW2, though we have done projects from the English Tudor period, the French Revolution, etc.
Below are some of the models from WW2. All models are 1500 polygons or less. They consist of only one skin that is 512 x 512 pixels. We had some hefty restrictions because these projects are for a school system and not a typical "gamer's" PC.

Winston Churchill:

King George:

Please forgive the low-quality screen shots. These are not 3D Studio MAX renders, but screen grabs from within a real-time 3D viewer to see the models in the engine (though with no lighting applied).
Any critiques are welcome.
