CGTalk - Make Hole Tool

Hi Guys, you'll probaly laugh at this but i just can't get the Make Hole Tool to work in Maya 4. I've followed the exact exmaple in the docs but can't seem to select the second poly in the process. Can anyone please explain exactly where i'm going wrong? Maybe i'll stick with max after all:hmm:

You have to select the first face, next the second face ( select the face in the center ) and type enter to make the hole.
Is not good ?

Its still not working, the problem is i can't select the second face, no matter how i click on it even in the centre.

Selecting the first face is no problem but selecting the second face is not happening.

i know where i'm going wrong now, baically i had checked Seperate Faces which make sthe duplicated face a seperate poly, for make hole to work the duplicated poly has to be part of the same object as the original.:applause:
