I have a scene with numerous versions of the same character.
The neutral expression is at 0,0,0 world space.
When the character is facing me, the right side facial expressions are to the left of the neutral expression object (-x space), and the left side facial expressions are on the right side (+x space) of the neutral expression object.
I am trying to do a facial blend with it, but for some reason Maya picks a side and decides to mess up the blend expressions on everything +/- X (whichever it decideds to mess up), while executing the other side perfectly....
I am NOT using bones to make the blend shapes. All the targets were made in LW, then imported as OBJ's into Maya.
I tried freezing transformations... putting all the shapes on 0,0,0 world co-ordinates, deleting and re-mirroring the shapes....
Is it a modelling problem, an import problem, a simple co-ordinate problem, a blend shape problem.... or should I just put on my dunce cap now...?
Not sure if that's clear or not, if you need a better explanation, I can try again...
If you can help, it'd be much appreciated...
