Howdy..

this might not be the right place to ask this (since its a quite general question..), but ill ask anyway.

Is there an easy way to figure out the zoomfactor on a reference picture? I wanna make a render of a room i have a picture off.. and i want the same camera-angle and the same zoomfactor... so how do i acieve this?

I believe i have read something about this in a book somewhere, but i dont know where.....

Help appreciated..

In such cases, you cant calculate Zoom with precision.
Roughly you can get an idea by considering the perspective distortion, DOF, sense of scale etc

Model a box that resembles to the room and try to match the corners and perspective.
Place the camera and touch here and there the parameters until you get close.
Now, you are ready to move on.
