View Full Version : Charicature
Blake Kehler 08-17-2002, 04:22 AM I've never really done a charicature before, and I wanted to try new techniques for drawing. What do you think?

it looks fine, but i think you should put less details and not too many closed shapes (like, you don't have to make a complete circle..leave it open)....and i'm not sure if you should go with shadows

if its a caricature, the prominate features are exagerated, as well the strokes are generally more broad, open handed, as in smooth not a lot of tight sketching involved

Sorry I should have chosen a better word, it's not really a caricature of a person, it was just a more cartooned drawing then what I normally draw (I always try to shade my pictures to death). I was just trying something different
But thank you, I think I'll try and draw some actually caricatures now that I know some basics. I'll post them as soon as I'm done. May be a while, I don't have a scanner and have to use my friends.
