Hi Folks,
Actually, this was an effect iwas trying to create in Bryce,I got the snow itself looking pretty real ,in Bryce4.
The effect i'm trying to achieve is at night just after a fresh snowfall, and the snow is all glittery and sparkling, probabably from moonlight or streetlamps.
Does anyone hane any suggestions as how to do this in either Cinema 4D, or Bryce?
Thanx,
Wade

There was a thread some months ago, a guy did a pretty nice glittering winter scene.
I kept the material, you have to set the light properly. Looks great when animated.

Have a nice day!
Aloha Achim

P.S.: Additionally use the Advanced Renderer's highlights for more effect.

Thanks alot,Augostronic.
Thanks for the info,
Do you know if Bryce 5 can do any of these type of effects, and can it now render larger than 72 dpi.
Oh,one more thing,I like Terragen alot(don't have the regesitered version yet),but it does'nt seem to have alot of resources out for it yet, plus i don't really know of a way to bring in any 3D objects,in any format.
I know their working on version 2,which is supposed to address alot of these issues, including Trees,Grass, better water and Skies ,etc.do you know anything about this program?
Personally I find the renders, just landscape renders, far more realistic than Bryce,or Vue(I think Vue pretty much sucks!).But if you can't bring in any other 3D objects, then you're pretty much limited to Landscapes,Water and Skies only, for now.
Also, from what i hear from Daz Productions,Bryce 6 will be ready in a year or so,have you heard anything about this and what possible capabilities it might have?
Thanx,
Wade

Hey Wadeone,

go check the terragen site for C4D plugins. There you will find an entry called Terra4D by Future-Bytes. This will allow you to get your terragen scene into C4D.
In C4D animate, plant trees, grass flowers etc. - works mighty well.

Have fun
