Simple & nice! Beautiful render. Maybe more details will make her look better, why not put a baby inside her tummy.

I think it would be a good idea to put a human baby into the robot. Nice contrast and irritating for the viewer. Would make the work interesting.
thanks guys for your replies ...
here's an update

Beautiful, really, the athmosphere that this image reject is just amazing, it reminds me a bit on the film A.I. by Steven Spielberg, which is verry good I think :)
Espeacilly the last picture looks really fine as far as the composition goes, I'm really interested on how it wil look if you'd finish it (some more modelling on the buildings, and more details on the wall behind)..
Real nice!

Do baby robots still ask, "where do babies come from?"
Oh, and nice work, although everything looks a bit too sterile for me. Sort of like a hospital. Or maybe it's the very end of the assembly line?

Niki! Your best work soo far!!
well as I already told, I have to add more stuff ..and yes ..on the wall ..and something else.
you're right mikecarry about the enviro ..it's a bit sterile cos it is a "laboratory"...
<< Do baby robots still ask, "where do babies come from?" >> ..this is an interesting question ..:)
thanks to all for the compliments

Wow, very creative! I like this piece alot. Seems like the major hurdle in CG is coming up with creative content, even semi-original work can be hard to think up. Good job.

Really good looking character. Very original...I never seen a pregnant robot before.
Nice modeling and cool concept. I like the idea someone stated about making the baby a human instead of a robot. I think that would add alot of story to your character. But it's still interesting with the robot baby. Oh can we see a close up of the stomach, it looks like you have alot going on in there.
female character start. (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=178272)

:deal: Very nice work, I think the human baby idea because seraggate mothers are becoming more and more popular, and with technology growing i could see this happening in the future
mm ..yeah ..I think that the image would have been more interesting and of greater impact with the human baby .. I will think about this for the next work !!
changed the scene and the lighting .. C&C are welcome ..

looking good niki..
I think you should make the enviroment moore realistic.. aspecially inside, moore objects perhaps. and make the building outside look moore realistic.. that would have been awsome.. keep up the good work...

in front of, theres a huge amount potential in this pic and i love your idea and
style. but here is my (short) list of mistakes- dont kill me after you`ve readed ^^:
maintheme and point of view in your pic is the mother and her baby. for me it looks like that you`ve lost your main thougt. somebody say that you should add more details to the house and backround, room etcetera. but is that what you want to express with your pic? if you lead the point of you to the rob-mo and her baby, if you show us the thoughtfull (?) pose of her, than please show us the reason the little rob-baby/phoetus. the city behind, the sky, the room etc. that hole stuff is not ur mainintention, i think, but if its your intention han forget all what i`ve say quickly ^^ and add more details to the houses and the reason for the mothers thoughtfull view. damn, i hate my english skills.
i love your theme, and the critics are seriosly meaned.

the concept is great ! good modelisation but...i dont like the render. your subject is the pregnant robot, but the sky is more lighter than it. there is no contrast in the scene.
keep it up the great work !

I like it. The design of the female android reminds me of a Hajime Sorayama painting. Also, the concept of a pregnant android reminds me of the great Machine-Flesh Challenge entry by Antropus.
-> takeČ : you're right ..absolutely! I lost my initial idea ...(now I have to kill u ..) ..the problem is that I don't have so much time to work on this project yet ..the dead-line of the contest is on 30th nov ..and in these days I'm so busy ..
I got my inspiration from Sorayama ...
thanks to all ...

Hey Niki, how your work has grown since your first posts on this and threedy's websites, you know what you could do to give the belly area a little more umph! and a bit more drama, add some liquid to the stomach area! and with the face part, maybe make the band area a little more mirrorish............otherwise looking great I love all the Hoses very dramatic feel to it.

Cool idea!
Is it the same model inside the stomach as a baby robot? Or is it another model?
Good luck for the finishing
well guys ... I finished my scene ..and here is
http://www.intelligentproject.it/nikipersonalfolder/woman_robot/final_render_entry.jpg
it is not very good and I might improve a lot of thing ...how you can see, the DOF is wrong and I don't like the buildings outside the window ..
thanks to all for suggestions and critiques

Really really good
I like it very much
it seems u haven't decided on your final composition (or can u send more than one)
i like the one with the hoses-wires coming out of her, but use the soft pink light u used in one of the earlier shots to get something like the final blue one....
anyways cya
nice to see quality work
thank you kotsos..
maybe some day I will back on this work and I will try to improve the render quality ..
but now ..Im really busy
see ya!
