Hey y'all

I'd posted this before, but I got deleted because i'd posted a link to my site instead & the title wasn't clear (oops!).

My first attempt at a show reel is up on my site ( http://colinjames-vfx.com ). I'm using this reel as part of the package that I send out as I attempt to break into the industry as a compositor/motion graphics artist (might help to keep in mind when looking at the reel). It's available in 2 formats as follows:

Download Divx5 version (14 MB) (http://colinjames-vfx.com/reel/cjames02bdivx.avi)

Download QT/ MPEG version (17 MB) (http://colinjames-vfx.com/reel/cjames02bmpeg.mpg)

A shot breakdown sheet (http://colinjames-vfx.com/reel/breakdownsheet.html) is also available.

Thanks for checking it out!

Cheers,
Colin James

don't know if you read my post......but here it is again..

I like it very much....

except the first scene in the bathroom with the alien I think that the music has to turn down and you have to let them speak ....
now it looks like this part isn't finished, you see them talk but you hear nothing...

Ya, I'd gotten the email about your post but then the thread was deleted! Thanks for posting again :) Im _REALLY_ glad you liked it :) About the music in the alien scene...most of these shots are from much longer animations, that one included. When it came time to decide whether or not I was going to include dialoge, it (the dialogue) just seemed way out of context and broke the continuity established by the music at the beginning... If other people feel the same way though I'll definitely reconsider that decision :) Thanks again for the feedback!

Cheers,
Colin James

haha, you got slapped. looks well rounded.. but if you are going for vfx, i suggest you work on your comping more.. 2d/3d realtime , maybe even some tracking , with 100% eyes on texturing and lighting , you arent an american idol.. but you have the potential..
