View Full Version : Paintshop, should I get it

well, seeing how im going to have some time off from using maya at school, i want to get paintshop for my computer, but is it good to use it for textures what do you guys say about it, could I do pretty much like some of the cool effects that i could do in photoshop in paintshop

I used to have Paintshop but then got Photoshop 7.0. Paintshop is basicly a less complex version of Photoshop but with less features ect. Photoshop in the end is much better and personaly after using it for a while its not that complicated. So I sugest getting Photoshop in the end. And if you find it alittle hard there are 1000s apon 1000s of tutorials for you to learn everything.

yeah, another thing is the cost.......well the machine i am using at school has illustrator

There are alternative ways to get software that is outragesly over priced. :X

my friend who is a photoshop freak says that photoshop elements is close to the same commonly used features in the commercial version of photoshop,

:) thanks, well part of it i want to use real images and blend them together so i get the edges in one, and the color of another
