Hi, pals. I've recently downloaded Clacos' plugins for Wings3D. I've seen in some videos the use of the Tweak_s function, and that's what i've been looking for some time.

Well, the problem is that I've downloaded and succefully instaled this and the other Clacos' plugins from his suite (Draw Loop, Slide, etc.), but when i choose one of them, nothing really happens. I mean, if I'm using "standard" Tweak mode, the selection mode changes, but nothing special with Tweak_s. The program just ignores me...

So maybe is a compatibility question. The last suite is for 0.98.08 version, and I'm using the .22. D'you know if those plugs work on newer versions of Wings? Are there updated plugs for newer versions? May I have to work with the 08 in order to use those plugins?

Your help would be very appreciated :)

The Clacos plugs were never updated to work with releases after about 0.98.08 - so you can't use them with newer versions of Wings.

0.98.25 also has Tools | Connect (as well as those mentioned by BJ) - this does essentially the same job as Clacos' DrawLoop plugin.

With the arrival of Tools | Connect, most of the functionality of the plugs is now in Wings itself.

Apart from the workflow differences between the 2 approaches (to providing similar tools) the only functionality actually missing in wings, but present in Tweak_s is:

The facility to lock / mask geometry
Axis and planar constraints.

All 119 versions (from 0.80 to 98.25) are available here, btw -

and, as far as axis constraints etc goes with tweaking stuff, if ya really have to then moving and sliding verts and edges is always an option... albeit a more clunky way to go, non the less the purpose can be achieved...
