Don't really look a 2k poly character. Can you post a wireframe please? maybe the textures have too much contrast and we don't see details.

The metal looks cool. I'd get it more detail overall though. Like maybe some tattoos or tribal markings on his body, and more stuff going on in the metal parts. The ring around his mouth stands out too much and looks kind of weird to me.

I also agree that the model doesn't seem to warrant that many polys, you could probably get away with taking out at least 500 or so and not notice a difference. Check out Pual Steed's modelling book for some great tips on optimizing.

thank you for the comments. here are the wireframes you requested. as for the poly count we were given a 2000 poly limit so i figured if i had them i might as well use them, i do though agree that for optimization purposes 1500 polys would do great maybe even less. and finally the textures. this was my first real shot at making my own textures in photoshop and time was an issue. i would love to add more detail to the metal like extra panels and scars and for the suit possibly some military markings of some sort. i will work on it and post the results.

thank you again,

hey man thanks for the compliment. i am using maya and as for the render i have been getting the same complaint from all over and i am tring to fix it. on my screen it looks fine but on eveyone elses it is to dark. i have tried adjusting my monitor but that doen't seem to work so i am going to try to alter the texture.

Very nice indeed.

The only thing that strikes me is the symmetri. And the high polycount for such undetailed model.

But it looks cool other than that! :)

very nice.....but the texture of his back don't look good to me....it don't look like muscles.....his chest texture is really good.
only like everybody already said it's to dark.....

Well you wanted a comment.

The head has too much polys.

And the parts of the model where its not bending, could use less polys. Like the boots. Because you wont see that in a game when you play.

Other than that, it is a nice model.
