View Full Version : How to project a "shawdow" in XSI?
HapZungLam 08-16-2002, 03:17 PM I have a simple scene, only has a floor and a wall. I would like to add some tree, leave looking shadow so that it's kind of like under the trees.
I'm thinking of adding shadow map onto my light. How do i do that?

Use the sib_slide_proj_light shader.
Apply it to your light in the render tree.
You can get the shader here:
C:\Softimage\XSI\Data\DSPresets\Shaders\Light

Connect the sib_slide_proj_light node to the Light Shader input on your Light node.
Now, double click the sib_slide_proj_light node to open the property ediitor. To change the texture, click New and select a texture. It does not matter what type of texture you use.
