I used the tutorial at 3dkingdom.org as a base, but messed around with it for what I wanted to achieve. The picture I got the idea from was from digitalblasphemy.com, but again it did not look like what I wanted so I made my own! The little radioactive source effect is in videopost, with a wierd glow which gives that gassy look, and the bright white that fades to blue is a video post highlight. I want to add a sky kind of like that wierd gaseous thing, but using fog and what not was unsuccesful, and I do not know how else I should try. Yay first post (I usually lurk, but now time to get major critz!)

Thanks

EDIT: Im sooo sorry I totally forgot the image. Here it is http://pachukainc.lilricecakeboy.com/ShroomsBig+Lens.jpg

The caps of the mushrooms don't have enough thickness. Also underneath the cap they need that radial ribbed surface. The ground should be alot rougher like real soil, and should be bunched up around the mushroom stems. The lighting looks ok for the side and bottom mushrooms, but the tall one in the center is not lit properly. Instead it should be primarily backlit.

If you just want a sky why not play around with the clouds filter in photoshop and use it as a background. But if you want to add an atmosphere I would add a volumetric light coming from your burst with a blue fog color and a low density with some noise. To the same light, add a projection map using something like the clouds filter to break up the fog.
