View Full Version : Brush cursor doesn't show size

Sometimes when painting with my wacom on CS the round (or whatever) cursor used with the brush tool doesn't show anymore so I cannot see how big the brush will paint. The only way to get it back is to restart my pc 1-3 times. Any ideas of whats going on here?

Caps Lock is usually the culprit.
If that's not it, check the drivers and make sure they are up to date.

Maybe the problem is the file size. If you're opening a big file and the computer hard to handle it, photoshop's crusor can change to cross. Have you checked the edit->preference->display&crusor? Get the painting brush with brush size, in that setting.

Happens to me all the time, even on smaller projects. Argh, it frustrates me so much. I'll have to check next time with that caps lock thing because I do the same and reboot, or restart photoshop. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes i just scream and kick the computer LOL

this is one of the most annoying photoshop quirks. That, and no rounded rectangle tool :D

Sprite, I agree ;) I'm not sure when I'd ever find using the capslock like this to be useful. I've been using PS hardcore for 4 years and have yet to stumble upon a place where it's useful.

there is....its in the shapes tool next to the pen tool. (CS, and im pretty certain 7)

Yea its in 7 also, most people dont know about it/dont find it because they dont have it as one of the Marquee options...

Sure enough, it happened to me the other day, and first thing i did was look down, and yes the CAPS lock was on.
