View Full Version : Constraining a cylinder to a curve.

Hi,
this discussion about tubes and constraint looked fun:

So I made a curve constrained to a sphere (scaled the sphere down afterwards).

Then I made a cylinder and did Deform by Curve > Scaling/Translating along Curve. Hmm, works very nicely :)

The cylinder could move even more smoothly, but I let the V subdiv of the cylinder be 50 for this test.

Perhaps this gives ideas about snakes moving, ropes winding up or similar...
